Shawshenk Redemption

This movie surprised me!! There were so many moments when I thought that something was going to happen and it didn't. I couldn't predict anything, and I really liked that.
******************************SPOILERS AHEAD*************************************
The biggest shock was when Andy escaped!!! I didn't see that coming at all, and I love how they never found him. And just the way he went about it was the smartest thing ever.
Once Andy escaped I hoped that Red would too, or get parole at least so he could reunite with his friend. But, I expected it not to happen. So, when he did get out I was happy.
******************************SPOILERS OVER**************************************
I didn't expect this o be a good movie. One, my dad recommended it and some things he recommends are not the greatest. Second, it takes place in a prison in the 40's and up...yeah.
But, I really enjoyed it. And I didn't expect the ending to be happy but it was.
So, don't let the immense amount of F bombs and the fact that it takes place in jail turn you away from this movie. It truly is a story of a real friendship.

The Birds

I don't have much to say about this film. First of all it was so disgusting!! I don't like flocks of birds and the amount of birds in this film made me itch, especially at the end.
Secondly, I didn't understand much of anything. Nothing was explained. We never know why the birds came, how they got there, if anyone was controlling them or not or anything!!
And the end...or lack there of....that bothered me. We never find out if  Melanie, Mitch and them got to a safe place or if the birds ever stopped attacking people.
One good thing was that the sound of the birds was the most creepiest thing ever!!!

Reed - Season Finale

So let me start by saying that I have absolutely no idea why they advertised this as a 3-part finale. When I think of an episode being in multiple parts, they usually all go with each other. All of these episodes could stand alone. Not one issue in each episode was continued in the next.
It would've been great if they took the 1st episode and the whole issue with Carla and her ex and ran with it. They could do so much with it, but I guess they're saving it for next season, which I'll talk about later.
But anyways, all the episodes were pretty good. I liked the one with Alex's parents. I liked how we got to see the family interact and how the 2 older kids accept their step-grandparents.
And the ending to the last episode was so cute; all of them on the couch together being a loving family.
Now on to season two. I really hope it will happen. I think a show like this is really needed and Kellie Griffin (the creator) and her team did a great job. I thank them for doing this because we were way overdue for a family show with basically, an all Black/people of color cast. I really hope that BET brings the show back for another season, if not, I'm gonna be pretty upset.

Well, until next season

Super 8

Over all this film was great.I heard a lot of mixed reviews about this film, there were some lame parts but like i said, over all it was great.
I loved the suspense of this film. I gasped (so I wouldn't scream and disturb my sister) so many times and my heart was beating out of my chest.
I thought the kids were the best part of the entire film. Their acting was great and they were hilarious. My favorites were Riley Griffiths/Charles and Ryan Lee/Cary.
One part I didn't get was the end with the locket. I mean, I guess he had to let go of his mom and the past, but there wasn't anything that implied that he was holding in to his mom too much other than the locket and it's not that strange to carry that around with you. I mean, it's the memory of her. I still don't understand how she died, I'm pretty lost on that whole story.
The other thing I didn't get was why that creature was on Earth in the first place. And why did the Air Force have to capture it and put it in, basically, jail. Not everything is out to destroy the Earth.
So, unlike apparently all my cousins, I liked this film. Go see it for yourself, though.

Bad Teacher

This movie was bad. I'm not so sure it was a complete waste of my time but I will never watch it again.
I don't understand how Cameron Diaz's character could come out on top in the end. This whole movie teaches you that if you lie, steal (FROM CHILDREN!!!), have sex and do drugs, everything will be alright and you'll find you prince or princess charming, "or something like that." I thought this movie was pretty dumb, and pretty ridiculous.
How in the world does this woman have a job. I'm sure that at some point during the year someone had to come in and observe her. Oh and I was just a little offended when they mentioned the under privileged school being called Malcolm X High School...
OH, Oh and in the end she becomes the guidance counselor??!? What the heck is that??The only thing I liked was that she never sugar coated anything and stopped being so shallow in the end.
Oh, and Justin Timberlake was so annoying and why was he a substitute teacher if he is so rich????
I would ONLY  recommend you to watch this if and only if you are depressed or just watched a depressing. Well, maybe not cuz this movie isn't pee your pants funny but there are some funny parts.
I'm never gonna watch this movie again, you can watch it if you dare...

Reed

Episode one: This episode was so cute. I never had a father daughter dance *sad face* but thinking about it I probably would go if I did have one. But anyways, about the episode; we finally get to see the twins dad!!! I thought the whole thing with Kaci's real dad and Alex was so awkward. And why couldn't he tell her about his fiance when he first got there?!?! That was awful; I felt so sad. I could only describe this episode as awkward.
And Keenan's friend Shawn: awkwardly gross!!! It was funny but wow.
The most funniest thing was Alexis tryna lift weights!!!

Episode two: This episode was interesting...
I knew that Gabby and her man were gonna get in a fight or break up or something with the way she was acting. And that whole game night was awkward!!!
One thing that mad me mad: the Jet and Dallas are the sports teams they talk about!!! they surely need some help with that.
And does Carla psychoanalyze everything and everyone?!?! I mean she doesn't have to take her work home with all the time.
One more thing; didn't Kaci's room look like Alexis'??? I did to me.

Well, Tuesday is the season finale. I'm sad to see it go and I hope they leave us with something to come back to.

Reed

Episode one:
I am shocked that the parents let their kids that are 14 years old stay home over night alone!! My parents NEVER did that with me and I probably would've burned if they did, so I'm glad they didn't. LOL
That one girl was such a bad influence on Keenan and Kaci!!! They should not be friends with her. And she too fresh!!
I'm happy that they touch on subjects like this (sex) and they did it in a good way. Too many times do I see on shows parents getting so angry with their kids for this or their kids doing stupid stuff. But, I liked how this show showed that the son stood up for what he thought was right and did succumb to the peer pressure.
I thought it was a little strange that Alexis class went on an overnight trip and her parents were the only chaperones ...
This was a good episode and I love the issues they bring up in this show.

Episode two:
Here we go with another guest star. He actually was a better actor than I thought.
So a 15 year old in college. I'm not mad at him!! I'm happy that he was male too because African Americans need to see other African Americans in college especially males.
I think Alexis is the funniest kid on the show. She is so funny and all her facial expression make me crack up!!!
Oh my gosh!!! I want Marco to come back. He was hilarious!!!! He should be a reoccurring character on the show!!
This episode was rally funny. Can't wait for next week.

Glee

It's time for Sectionals!!!!
Okay, again, Quinn is crazy and she really needs to get some help. I'm happy that she went and talked to Shelby instead of trying to ruin her life. And why in the world does she want Sam, I don't understand that. And does she really wanna go to Yale, I mean really?? Nothing ever gave me the impression that she was that smart, no offense.
Oh my gosh, Mike and Tina!!! She was only trying to help there was no need for him to get all made. I almost cried when his dad came and then they hugged. That was the perfect father son moment!!
Who knew Sam was a stripper and that Blaine is a boxer?!?! Oh and I really don't like the idea of Mercedes being with Sam. They are not a good couple. Nope, not to me.

Lipsyching when talking - i hate

My friend and I knew that if one team lost in Sectionals the other team would join them and that's basically what happened.
What's with the judges at Sectionals??? I mean a clown...I don't get it. And that girl from the Glee Project was back, but we won't see her again. She only got a 2 episode deal.

I seriously wanted the Troubletones to win and I think their performance was better that the New Directions. Their ,ash up was so good and their dancing was amazing. I loved every bit of it. the only part I liked about New Directions performances was that they did MJ songs. And on that note why did they choose to do all these Jackson family songs???
2 things bothered me. The first was I hate it when they lip-synch talking. I don't get the point of it. The other is just how much of a team the New Directions seemed to be. Do they really not have the confidence that they can will without Rachel or Sam?? Yeah, they're good but they're not the team.
This episode really made me wanna go find a show choir to sing in. I loved it. I don't know if anything big will happen next week but then again it is Glee...

For Better or Worse

Now if you don't know, I will try and support all of the shows created, written by, and/or staring African Americans. So, of course, I watched the premiere of this show. I wasn't too impressed with it.
First I have to say that I thought the set for Angela and Marcus's house was awful. The colors didn't go together at all, in my opinion.
Now, on to the show itself, I didn't understand the point of it. How is it that Angela and Keisha are friends?!?! I thought they hated each other. And how can they make up just from one fight?? I didn't like that at all. I don't think people want to see them as friends. We want to see them fighting and being loud and crazy like in the movies.
I also didn't understand why Marcus's friend was being such a jerk. What was the purpose of that??
Honestly, I didn't like the writing or the timing of the show. There were moments when I was thinking "OK, cane we move on from this already?" and "Why is this scene going on for so long?" It was just too much stuff there that didn't have to be.
I'm a fan of Tyler Perry and I really want to see his stuff succeed but this was a flop for me. I was watching it with my family and by the second episode my sister said "I hate this show. I hate it, I hate it, I hate it." My mom said that he gave to much and now we're like what else can he do with the show. That's how I feel.
I most likely won't be watching this show anymore unless I'm really bored and have nothing to do and it's onDemand.

Glee

I have to say that this episode was full of surprises!! First of all, me and my friend predicted that they would try and put the two glee clubs together for sectionals and it was a shock when they didn't.
Second of all, could Puck be anymore obvious about his relationship with Shelby. I fell like everyone knew he was singing to her. And why did he tell Quinn?!? She clearly was upset at the end and in the next episodes she'll probably tell other people, which would be nuts!!! Oh, and let's talk about how messed up Quinn is. She really was trying to have another baby with Puck!!! What is her problem?!?! She really needs to get help and I'm happy that Puck kinda put her in her place.
I felt so bad for Coach Beiste and it's a good thing she faced him about it and told him how she felt. And she's not that bad of a singer.
Sue is a jerk and will always be one and it's a good thing she lost.
Now Rachel, she's an idiot. First of all she made her friend lose the election after she gave up her spot so he can win. Then she stuffs the ballot but is so stupid about it and made it so obvious. Why would you do that?!? You gotta be a little bit smarter if you wanna cheat and get away with it. And now she can't sing in sectionals and I don't know how they will win without her. Who else will do the female leads now that the Troubletones exist???
I guess we'll find this out next week.

Reed

Episode one:
So, I was home schooled so I felt the pain of Alexis in this episode.
When I went to school my mom wasn't nearly as upset as Alex was.  liked how her teacher was male. They always show teachers as female and there are male teachers, I've had them before. And n they're not pedophiles (I know people who think that).
That intern was annoying to me. I mean it's nice that he went above and beyond but did he have to act like that all the time?1? And why did they make him gay?? Was that really necessary...I don't think so. I'm happy that they didn't hire him because I wouldn't of liked him at all and he was so devious and sneaky.

Episode two:
I missed some parts of this due to distraction ...(grr) but from what I saw this reminded me of a Cosby episode. I couldn't help but think about the one where they turned the house into an apartment for Theo and he had to buy everything with barely any money. This wasn't exactly like it but it made me think of that episode. I love the values they instill on their kids in this show. The parents are really teaching them how to survive in the real world and that's great.
I missed most of the story line with ms. Helen and Kaci but I still think that Ms. Helen is hilarious.

Glee

I really liked this episode. I love it when they do mash ups and the ones they did last night were so good!!!
First I have to say that I would not vote for Kurt if I could. I'm sorry but I grew up playing dodge ball and don't see anything wrong with it. Maybe it does resemble stoning but that's not why we play now. And I knew that Rachel was going to drop out of the race, that was predictable.
Woah to Puck and that whole situation!!! Umm, he needs to chill out. Does he realize that she could lose her job!?!? That would be a disaster!!!
I'm really upset that it's not new next week!!! How can they keep doing that to us fans!!! We need our Glee.
Well, until December, I guess.

Glee

Ummm so Glee was really interesting this week. I can't believe that Rachel and Blaine were gonna have sex or relations (as Kurt would say) for all the wrong reasons!!! I'm happy they didn't do it.
I think West Side Story was so good. I loved how they crosscut the songs from the musical and the conversations they had. It was perfect. And it's nice to see that Mercedes went to support her friends.
Okay that kid that was flirting with Blaine needs to go away. He's ruining things and I don't like him.
The whole relationship between Coach Beiste and that college football coach guy was so funny and kinda cute, too. It's sad that she thought he didn't like her. I mean seriously, it was so obvious.
When Finn had his rant about how he wasn't good enough, I actually felt bad for him. But, he shouldn't of waited until senior year to think about his future and college and things like that. That's the one problem I have with this show. These kids are so focused on this glee club that they aren't really focusing on their studies and that's why Rachel and Kurt are doing whatever they can this year so they can get into that one school. Maybe if they found out sooner that they couldn't go to Julliard then they would be so obsessed with having to have a school musical and winning the election. I'm interested to see what will happen when it's time to vote. Finn's gonna have a really tough decision to make. If it were me I wouldn't vote.
I can not wait to see what happens next week. Puck says those 3 little words which is the most shocking thing I've ever seen on Glee!!!!! Until next Tuesday...

Reed

Much thanks to my sister who encouraged me to continue reviewing this show. Sorry about last week my computer charger died and I could use my laptop, but that God for computer labs. :)
So on to episode one. I first I love how gender roles don't exist on this show. Kaci can play basketball and Keenan can do rhythmic gymnastics and no one is opposed to it. Well, Alex was opposed to Keenan's chose but I think he was being too hard on him. I don't think that he chose that sport because it was the easy way out. It seemed like he really wanted to do it. I'm happy that in the end Alex would let him quit because that's really the important thing. If you start something you should finish it and not quit just because you think you'll look ridiculous.
Ms. Helen is pretty funny...nuff said.

Episode two.
Again with the gender roles not existing. I love how they show Alex working in the kitchen (and not at the grill) and being good at it. And I love seeing a man take care of his kids especially his daughters. I think that Carla had a right to be mad at Alex; HE LIED!!! Even though he never did it again, he still lied. For hi to be mad at her though... They didn't even know each other at the time and she probably was too drunk to remember what happen. It's okay that he was shocked but to be mad at her. And for all this to happen at his reunion was crazy. But I'm happy they kept their composure and didn't create a scene.

I wanna know what's up with all the guest stars on this show. I feel like every time they have a new episode there's a new guest star. I guess that's how they get people to watch, which is a good idea. I wonder who's gonna be on there next week!!

Love and Other Drugs

This was not what I expected. I just watched this with my roommate and we almost turned it off in the first five minutes!! Luckily I convinced her to keep watching at least for a half an hour.
Now this movie is rated r for a reason. WARNING: There is a lot of nudity and sex in this movie. If you are easy to blush than you probably shouldn't watch this. And you really shouldn't watch this with your parents.
The story was really good though. This was a romantic comedy and it strayed a little bit away from the template "rom coms" usually follow. Usually the couple ends up separating and then find out that they can't live without each other and they get back together. That didn't happen here. They did separate, but it was only the male that needed to realize that he couldn't be apart from her.
The movie also gives you a little look into the life of a person with Parkinson's disease, and what's it really feels like to be a doctor.
Of course the movie ended with the guy saying this really amazing speech filled with cute little quotable saying and then they lived happily ever after.
One thing I didn't like about this film (and many romantic comedies) is that we don't see the couple get married or even engaged. This makes me mad because I'm left wondering if they did get married or not. And, if they didn't get married then there's a possibility that they could break up and then the whole things would be pointless. I think that if you realize in the end that you don't want to be with anyone else but this one person then you should be getting married. That's just my opinion.
Please don't watch if you can't handle nudity and sex because this movie is filled with this stuff. But, once you get past it, it's a good film.

Reed

I only have a few things to say about last nights episodes.
I thought the first episode was okay. I didn't like Romeo's part though. I don't know if it was the way he was acting or the way his character was but I just didn't like it that much. That storyline was "eh." The whole presidential election with the twins seemed too much of a big deal for me. I think they took it too seriously. And I didn't know they were only freshmen in high school!!! They seem older. So, that episode was okay.

I liked the nest episode. Finally we got to see one of the kids get in bug trouble!!! I they showed the discipline perfectly. I feel like on other shows they don't punish the children enough or at all, but I didn't see that here. The parents actually punished him enough and he actually learned his lesson. Now Carla Reed ain't no Claire Huxtable but I got a little scared when she was yelling at her son. I liked this episode better than the first.

I wanna know if I should keep posting after every episode??

Blade Runner- Final Cut

So today in my film class we watched Blade Runner and this was the most strangest film I have ever seen. I think I'm gonna have to watch it again because I know I didn't catch everything.
I like the film overall but there was one thing that I didn't like. I didn't like how some things were hard to understand and the only way to understand them would be to watch the other cuts of this film. There are 3 different cuts to this film and they are all significantly different. Now this is the only one I've seen but in class we talked about the parts from the other cuts that were taken out and only then was I able to understand certain things. I think the only way you can fully understand the story of this film is to watch all cuts back to back.
I couldn't help but think about Inception when watching this film. Inception went into the whole dreaming v. not dreaming and Blade Runner went into the whole robot v. not a robot thing and I thought that was really cool. And at the end of both films you are wondering "Is her dreaming or not/Is he a robot or not." I thought that was really cool.
This is a good film, very bizarre though.

Reed

So I obviously like this show because I watched the new episodes this week. I'm shocked about that but I actually think that this is a good show. Let's tart with the first episode of the night.
This whole episode revolved around Carla. I thought that it was pretty cool that we got to see her in action. This episode did a good job of letting us see her at work and the people that she interacts with there. It did a good job of letting us know what Gabriella and Helen are like and their interactions. The one thing I loved was that Ron Artest was basically playing himself. I didn't like his acting, but that whole storyline was hilarious.
Now to the hair episode. I thought this was so perfect for people to see. It was the whole natural hair vs. straightened/relaxed hair. The conversation that Carla had with Kaci was so important and I think that more moms should have that conversation with their daughters. I like how Kaci had the choice of whether she wanted to wear her hair natural or not. I also liked how Carla made it important that Kaci shouldn't make the decision because of a boy. I don't think they were biased toward one side. I don't think they bashed relaxers, they just stated some true facts about them. This episode made people think which I also liked.

So I am sold on this show and will be watching every Tuesday at 10pm. I'm so happy that there is a show out there showing Blacks in a positive way.

P.S. I will be tweeting during the show as much as I can. Follow me @KiaCherise!!

Captain America

This film was pretty good. I really enjoyed it. I think Chris Evans did a good job. I loved, absolutely loved Peggy!!! I was sold when she punched that one guy in the face in the beginning. There were a few things that I really liked and really didn't like.Let's start with what I liked.
The music was great. I wouldn't say it was Chronicles of Narnia epic, but it was bad either. I really enjoyed it.
Another thing I loved was that it wasn't predictable. There were many times when I thought that something was gonna happen and I was completely wrong. I hate it when movies are predictable and this one wasn't and that made me happy.
I also liked how the romance ways shown. It was a really small thing on the side and it didn't take over the main focus of the movie. I feel like nowadays romance always takes over in a film and it's so unnecessary. That didn't happen here.
I didn't like how unclear it was at times. I feel like I'm gonna have to watch it again to fully understand it, but there were just some parts that didn't make perfect sense to me.
I know some people didn't like the ending and I probably wouldn't of liked it if I didn't know that The Avengers is coming out and will explain that whole thing at the end with Samuel L. Jackson.
This was a good film. I will have to watch it again to understand it all but I recommend it.

Reed Between The Lines!!!

I have to admit this show actually surprised me.
First let me say that is is gonna be really difficult to not compare the 2 main characters to Joan and Theo. But, after putting that aside I have to say that I enjoyed this show.
The first episode was a little corny and I was skeptical after watching it, but luckily they put a new episode on next. That was a good idea. I am not one to judge a show by the very first episode but I know some people are so good job for putting on 2 new episodes.
I really hope they don't make this like The Cosby Show because nothing can compare to it and the show would end up failing.
One thing I don't like, but can get passed, is the laugh track. I'd rather there be a studio audience especially for a show like this. It's a sitcom and it's supposed to be funny and I would rather hear a real person laughing at a funny moment then a fake laugh track. And I feel like those things force you to laugh and if a point is not funny to you then... it's a fail.
But back to the shoe, I think the kids storyline is cool. The little girl is so cute!! I find it interesting that it's a blended family, but that's what you find in households today.
I don't like the fact that this show is on at 10pm. I mean, what family is all going to stay up til 10 o'clock on a Tuesday night to watch this. I feel like they did this to attract people who watch The Game, but the target audience for that show is way different from the one for Reed. This was a bad idea and may result in them losing viewers. They may want to rethink that.
But, all in all, this was a pretty good show and I will be watching again.

New show tonight

Just wanted to let you know I will be watching Reed Between The Lines tonight and there will be a review so look out

Glee - best episode to date

I have to say that this was the most amazing episode of Glee i have ever seen. Mercedes whole storyline was great, but I did have a few problems with it.
First of all, it her being a diva kind of came out of nowhere. I think that her boyfriend was the one  that made her act like this. He was the one that told her it was wrong to be nice to Rachel because they were up against each other. Oh and by the way, his acting was not that great. The other thing I didn't like was how she didn't take the role. I mean it was a bit of a cop out to give double cast, but at least she got the role and they have equal amount of time to shine. I didn't understand that part, but Mercedes singing Spotlight and that whole scene from Dreamgirls made me forget all about that other stuff.
I loved Mike Chang's storyline, too. It was so cute how his mom came and believed in him and then he danced with her. That was the sweetest thing.
Run The World was amazing, I mean even Sue was in to it.
Oh, OH!!!! I almost forgot all about Emma. First off, Will should NOT  have gone and invited her parents over for dinner without talking to Emma about it. But, at least he knows why she is the way she is.
One thing I don't get is why everyone is trying to run for president. And why did Rachel and Kurt wait til their senior year to try and get involved in more activities. They really should've been thinking about this stuff way before now. I also don't get that other glee club. What is its purpose???
I saw the previews for next MONTH (which I can't believe) and I don't think I'm going to be liking Quinn all that much. I mean, now she all of a sudden wants her daughter back. If she wanted her, she should've kept her. That's all I'm saying.
So about this whole one month wait thing. I'm not going to be able to wait that long. How can they just give us 3 episodes and leave for weeks?!?!? That ain't right. I'm a Gleek and I need my Glee every Tuesday at 8. What will I do?!?!?
Well, until next month Glee, I'll miss you.

Glee

So I only have a few things to say about this week's episode.
First thing is that Kurt really needs to wake up and accept the fact that he's NOT manly!!! I mean, does he know who he is??!!? He's not the "rough and tough" type.
Next I have to say that Blaine is such a good boy friend. It's so nice that he would give up his chances of being the lead role for Kurt. So nice. But, then again we don't really know if he ave up his chances because they ended asking him if he wanted to be Tony but he never answered. Kurt didn't seem too happy when they asked him. I detect a fight between them two very soon.
It's nice that Quinn came back because I wasn't sure how much of her "skanks" look I could take. I'm not sure if she'll be able to get full custody of her kid. I mean that is kinda rude. If you wanted your baby you could've kept her and if she wasn't sure about the adoption she shouldn't of done it. She should really just have an open adoption.
I am so excited to see Rachel and Mercedes go head to head. I've boon waiting for this for so long!!!! I strongly believe that Mercedes has what it takes to be the lead just as much as Rachel and I think it's her time to be the lead and not just belt out notes on the side. I wonder if there will be any "Team Rachel" Team Mercedes" talk?? I'm Team Mercedes!!!
Best line of the show when Coach Beiste said she wanted a Tony that would "excite her lady parts." AHHHHHHHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA!!!!!!! Yeah, that's what I did when she said that.
Can't wait til next week, this season is so good.

High Noon

So I don't have much to say about this film. This was a western film and it tried to be different from all the other westerns made before. Let me just say it was a complete failure. All this build for this climactic moment and then boom, nothing.
The only thing that interested me about this film was that it was done in real time. Other than that it was pretty awful.
The theme song that was pretty much the only music in the film was the most annoying this I've ever heard in my entire life!!! After hearing it the first time I wanted to shoot myself!!!!
Please do not see this film. I beg of you, please it will be a complete waste of your time.

New Girl

So I wasn't really gonna watch this show but I did, honestly, because it came on after Glee.
Okay so this show was funny for the first 5 minutes and then it just went down hill for me. I don't get how she could just move in with these random 3 dudes or why they would let this random girl live with them.
There wasn't really much of a back story. I mean we saw why Jess needed a new place to live but what else do we know about her? And those guys she lives with, what do we know about them!?!?! Barely anything!!! I hope they go into it more on the rest of the season.
I'm so sure I'll watch this show again. I do have to say it was a good idea to put it in after Glee.

GLEE

Oh my gosh!!!!!! Glee was just as amazing as I thought it would be ... maybe better. Okay so what the heck happened with Quinn?!?!??! I just don't understand. And since when did Kurt and Rachel become friends?!?!? I don't know but I like it.
Oh and I don't know if you watched The Glee Project but I did and Lindsay was on this episode!!!!! She did really good and I like how they made her Rachel's double in a way. That storyline will be really interesting. I can't wait until the rest of the Glee Project kids are in the show.
Ummmm Will finally grew a pair!!! I mean 1st he tells someone they sick then he kicks someone out of glee club!!!!! Where is this coming from and why did it take so long for this to happen!?!?!?!?! By the way, he and Emma are so cute together.
It's so sad, so many people are leaving after this season!!! Oh well, it was gonna happen sooner or later.

I'm just really excited about this season. Tonight's episode was not a fail and I can not wait until next week!!!
"You can't stop the beat!" :-)

Genlteman's Agreement

So today in class we watched Gentleman's Agreement. This movie was about a man who works for a magazine and he was asked to do a series on antisemitism. Now I really enjoyed this movie. It basically made the point that being prejudice is wrong and it did it in a very interesting way. The man, named Phil, pretended to be Jewish so he knew what it felt like personally. He was able to see how prejudice people really are towards Jews, at that time, and how prejudice Jews are to there own people. The only thing that bothered me was the ending. Now I don't want to give anything away so I'm gonna put my spoilers at the end. This is a pretty good old film if you like films with a message. There was a lot of over acting but this is normal because during this time people weren't used to sound yet. They still felt the need to act bigger because this is what they had to do when there were silent films. Overall it's a good film to watch. I recommend it.

SPOILERS!!!!!!
Now to this ending. I just didn't like after Phil realizes his fiance in prejudice, he goes back to her just because she had a quick change of heart. She finally realized she was wrong and once he knew that he wanted her again. I predicted that this would happen but I really didn't want it to. It made me so mad but I guess because of the Code that was in effect they had to show a happy ending because of her realization. I still didn't like the ending but there's nothing I can do about it now.

Degrassi

Wow, last episode was ummm I don't know.
I'm shocked that Clare is losing her faith which she fought hard for, but I'm not surprised she's losing it.
I feel like this is gonna be the season of break ups and new relationships. Everyone is hanging around people that aren't their significant others. They're probably gonna break up and get with the other person.
I just wanna know if anything else is gonna happen to Drew. I mean is that whole gang thing over?? That was one of the most interesting parts of the show.
Well the story lines I like the most are Anya's and Clare's. Wonder what's gonna happen tonight.

Hawthorne

I don't really have much to say. This episode was not what I expected. It was very cool to hear what Christina actually felt about her life right now and what her past was like, but there wasn't enough drama for me. I was really shocked by the ending. I guess I didn't expect Tom to ask for a divorce so soon but I wasn't shocked when Christina blew him off.
I really just don't want them to get a divorce because I don't like that Renata dude and I hope Christina takes that job, but I have a feeling I won't be able to predict anything.
Can't wait til next week, hopefully they'll be more drama.

Degrassi

I always think that I'm too old to watch this show but I just can't stop. So this new season is crazy. Imogen is nuts. Now on to the recent episode. Anya is losing control. I predict a downward spiral, then rehab, then she'll get her life together; I hope. I feel like Owen is good for her.
Okay, moving on ... Connor is a freak!!!! Glad he finally got caught and is finally getting help for his problem.
Oh Fiona and her little fling. I had a feeling it wasn't going to last.

I honestly don't know which story line I like the most. I'm really interested in what's  going to happen with Eli and Claire, and Anya. This show just gets better and better as time goes on.

Yes, something's different

Yes the site is totally different now. Sorry for not posting but I've decided to start posting again. Here are some post to come:
Hawthorne
Degrassi
Transformers 3
X Men First Class
And many more.
I will be attending a film fest all this weekend so there will be post about each movie they show.
Can't wait!!!!1

Gnomeo and Juliet

Okay, so , yes, of course I was skeptical about watching this. It's because it was another remake and of Romeo and Juliet?!?!?!?!? I don't like Shakespeare!!!!! But, my sister said that it was funny so I decided to watch it, so I did.
I LOVED IT!!!! I mean, it was so much better than the original Romeo and Juliet. gnomes are kinda creep, but I loved them. Especially the little blue one with the big hat!!! Oh, and the flamingo was so funny..."I'M PINK!!!!!!" Loved him!!!!
Oh my gosh, though...they really surprised you a bunch of times in this movie. They really faked you out!!! I was like about to cry at one point and then two seconds later, I was happy. But, I did like that.
The frog; Nanette, she was SO funny. Oh my goodness..."your love is doomed, your love is dead..." LOL
This, again is a movie for kids that everyone will enjoy.
I must say, if you haven't seen this grab your kid, little brother or sister or cousin and GO!!!!

The A-Team

OH MY GOSH THIS MOVIE!!!!!!!!!! There was so much shooting and blowing up of things and oh my gosh it was insane!!!!
When I saw that this was coming out I was like this is a guy movie and I had no intention of seeing it. But, I thought it was pretty good. I was a little confused at some points and should probably watch it again, but overall, it was good.
I thought it was funny and I loved how B.A. was afraid of flying and how pissed he got when they tricked him into it.
The first hour of the movie was just background information and I don't think it was necessary for it to be that long. I mean I know they had to introduce everyone, but did it have to take a whole hour for them to do it??
I wonder how much like the original show this movie is? I've never seen it, but it always interest me how much the remake sticks to the original. I guess I have to start watching the show to find out.
So, I think this is a good movie, not an amazing one, but good. I would only watch it again so I could be less confused, but probably not just, because. If I did, it would have to be with a big group of people, not with just one other person.
Recommend this for people who like to see things blow up a lot.

Despicable Me

I had been wanting to see this movie for the longest time and now I've finally seen it and it was HILARIOUS!!!!
I loved how it wasn't your normal hero vs. villain movie; it was villain against villain. I was hooked from the moment Dr. Gru made the kid a balloon animal and popped it!! My favorite part of the whole movie was when they went to the amusement park and he got the girl her stuffed unicorn. Oh and the minions were great, too and the dance seen at the end.
And of course, there was a moral to the story and the villain went from evil to good.
Overall, this was another one of those movies that was supposed to be for kids and a bunch of people over the age of 18 loved it.
My favorite line were "IT'S SO FLUFFY!!!" and "He can't do it if he's dead...no, but it's true"<--about the dog.
I loved this movie and recommend everyone to see it; young and old.

Secret Life of the American Teenager

Oh Secret Life. I don't know what to think about this show. I used to like this show, now I just don't know.
So this episode... I actually feel bad for Ashley. She has no friends and she's like the neglected middle child. I think all she wants is attention.
I thought it was hilarious how stupid Ricky was. How did not figure out his mom was a lesbian??!?!??! And because of it he didn't want to let her meet her grandson!?!?!?! That's doesn't make any sense to me. But I'm happy that he eventually let them meet...after all his lies.
Jack is really starting to get on my nerves. He just annoys me. I don't understand why he's working so hard to get these girls that don't want him.
Now on to Ben and Adrian... how in the world are they in love??? What Grace said was right; she should not be in love with someone just because he's there. It doesn't make any sense to me. And so he proposed to her AGAIN!! And she says yes?!?!?!? Really!!!!??!?!?
I don't understand these kids. Ummm, this is high school so why are you so quick to fall in love and get married when you haven't even lived in 2 decades yet??? High school is not your life. Hopefully you'll go to college and then find someone to marry, but not in high school, when you're 15/16 years old. And why are their parents letting them ruin their life????
I don't know, I don't know.
Oh and if I see one more person on this show from 7th Heaven, I'm done!!! I'll never watch again.

17 Again

This is NOT to be confused with the Seventeen Again here http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0194422/
This IS the 17 Again here http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0974661/

So I must say that I was totally against seeing this movie because there are two an no one talked about the first one. But my friends convinced me to watch it.
I have to admit that this was a pretty good movie. The acting was good. I think Zac Efron did a good job at playing an older person in a younger person's body. I loved Ned Gold and the principal's relationship. I thought it was cute how he tried so hard and then they both ended up finding out that they are obsessed with Star Wars. I loved their dinner scene. There were many awkward moments and I love Awkward moments because they're so hilarious!!! I think those were the best parts.
I liked the moral of this movie. All fathers should watch this film, especially if they feel their relationship with their children is fading away.
One thing I didn't like, which was something my friend brought up, was that the mother wasn't around for somethings. But, I guess she was around more than the father was.
Overall, I liked this movie, but I must say that I like the original better, and they should of given that some credit because that's were they got the general idea from.

Grace Card- movie review

http://www.imdb.com/title/tt1544600/
This is just a link to the IMDB page.
I wanted to see this movie, but I was a little skeptical because it's a Christian film. I am a Christian and I do like seeing movies with my values in them, but these types of movie are all the same. I still went to see it though.
I thought the acting wasn't that great. Louis Gossett Jr. was the best out of them all.
It was really predictable. I don't like being able to predict the whole movie, I need some surprise. But I didn't get that here.
The overall message was really good and powerful. The story line was just like all other Christian movies. Someone is going through something, God helps them get through it, all is happy in the end. But, even if you're not a Christian, you can relate and learn from the "moral of [this] story." I think it just would have been portrayed better with better actors.
Not to be rude, but the ending was my favorite part. I loved the song they used. It was City On Our Knees by tobyMac. IT fit perfectly with what was going on. I loved it.
This was an okay movie. I recommend seeing with your family, friends, or showing it at your church when it come out on DVD. It can spark a great discussion.

The Game- Season Finale Review

First I'll say that a lot of stuff happened in this episode in a short amount of time, so I'm gonna try and divide it up by character. So that whole Jason and Camille thing was unnecessary. I don't know why we saw this and in this episode. Maybe if we saw it early, it would have given the story line more time to develop.
Malik and Jenna: oh the ups and owns of that relationship. He made her relapse. I like them together, but are they good together, I don't know.
Tasha was really done wrong in this episode. First she finds out the truth about "Randy Bo", then she gets fired. Why is it that all her relationships crash and burn, and her job is always up and down, too!! Can something good happen for her just once???
Now on to Melanie and Derwin. Eek. First of all, Derwin is wrong. First he had his wife doing his dirty work, then he goes and tries to get a new quarterback for the team, backstabbing Malik!!! I don't like this!!!And then Melanie drops the shocker of all shockers...an abortion, but first lies about it!!! CRAZY!!! And for Derwin to know just from what she said, he really must know his wife.
Overall, I really liked this episode. I loved "Macknificent". But I do wished they started the music at the end sooner, and where was Tee Tee???
I guess we just have to wait and see what season 5 will bring. Can't wait!!!
