The Game

It's finally back!!!! You would think one week without this show wouldn't be a problem but I had no idea what to do with myself last week at that time!! Overall I think this episode was pretty good. I think The Game is finally getting back to what is used to be like and I hope it stays like this.
I thought that this episode should've been called The Look of Desperation and here's why.
Melanie was so desperate for a friend that she settled with Janay of all people. The baby momma to her husband, like really ... why would you do that. And Tasha was so desperate for a man that she settled for a random dude who ended up being a male prostitute. They both need to get their lives together, make up, and be friends again, and I'm not gonna stop saying that until it happens!!
Other than that, I thought it was nice that we got to see Malik, Tasha, and Tee Tee together again like one big happy family.
I also thought that this episode was pretty predictable. I knew that Janay and Noah were more than just dating, I knew Derwin was gonna hate Noah, and I knew Melanie was gonna tell Derwin that they were engaged.
I see a whole lot of problems brewing for Melanie and Derwin. It seems to me that he has a problem with Janay being engaged.

Well, I guess that's all I have to say about this episode. Hopefully we get to see more of Jason and Chardonnay or find out what happen to Jenna or Trey Wiggs.

The Oscars - My Opinion

There are many things that I will talk about so let me just begin.
First, where did Hugo come from?? I mean, I knew what it was but I never really heard anything else about it until last night when it won all those awards. I don't feel like it should have won all it did but I don't even think I've seen a trailer for it so I can't judge.
As for the host, I really didn't think he was funny. I missed the first 20 minutes of the show but I don't think I missed much from him. And this morning I saw that he did blackface which I have a serious problem with so that doesn't make it any better. I just wonder what it would've been like if Eddie Murphy hosted, but I guess we'll never know.
I wasn't surprised when Octavia Spencer won for Best Supporting Actress. I really was a no-brainer.
I was shocked that The Artist won Best Picture. I'm not sure if it was because it was better than the other films nominated. I mean, it was a silent black and white film and  the others weren't, which kind of makes it unfair because of all the things that the other films could and did do with sound and color. I really respect everyone involved in The Artist for what they did. I was thinking why should you use sound and color just because the option is there? And they really did pay homage to that era, I just don't think that it should've won best picture.
Now on to Best Actress. What am upset!!!! I really wanna know if anyone was expecting Meryl Streep to win?? I don't think so. I think she's lost so many times that people are just like she won't win again so she's not even a front runner.
Now I have to tell you how I feel about the whole race issue. I feel like it would have been a bad outcome either way and let me explain why. If Davis and Spencer one it would've been good because they are African American and not many African Americans have Oscars, so that would've been nice. The bad thing about them winning is the role they won the Oscar for: being maids to white women. It really sucks that this is the role that an African American women get nominated for, and I mean a stereotypical role. And so Octavia Spencer won and that's nice because she's a great actress and deserves credit for her work it just sucks that it had to wait until she was a maid to a white family for her to get recognized. And Viola Davis didn't win which sucked but was still a good thing. I think that I would've been even more angry if Davis had won for her role in The Help and this is why. The last time she was nominated for an Oscar was for her role in Doubt which wasn't a stereotypical Black role and I saw Doubt and thought she did a good job, but she didn't win the Oscar. If she won it for The Help I would've been pissed because it's like we have to wait to see her being a stereotypical Black role for her to win an Oscar, but she didn't win again so I'm not that mad.
I also find it interesting that no one really talked about the lack of Black males that were nominated.

Overall, I'm starting to think that the Oscars are becoming unimportant for the American population. I feel like people used to look at the Oscars to find the greats in this business, but now I don't think that's the case. I think people are getting their own opinions on actors/actresses and directors and so on, and so they don't need the Oscars to tell them who's good because they are deciding for themselves.
As for last night's show, I don't think it was great at all. I didn't like Cirque du Soleil's performance, I don't think it fit, the host wasn't funny, the only presenter I liked was Chris Rock. I wish he hosted instead of Billy Crystal.

I probably won't watch The Oscars next year. I have my own opinions on film and actors/actresses and such as you can see here, so no I won't watch.

Glee

One question: Why so serious????
How are you gonna have a suicide attempt in the first 10 minutes of the show?? Where is all this coming from??? Okay I know that was more than 1 question but really, why??
So, only a few things happened in this episode so I really don't have that much to say.
I'm really shocked that they showed Krofsky trying to kill himself. It was so sad. I wish they had of showed us more of what was going on with him and then show him attempting suicide. I think it happened all too quickly, I mean he was gone for so long and then he just shows up and then he tries to kill himself. Other than that, I think that this was an issue that Glee needed to tackle and I think they did a good job with it.
I can't tell you how much I love the God Squad. I love how they have civil discussions about issues and everyone's opinion is heard and respected whether they all agree with it or not. It just makes me happy.
Okay, I thought it was a little weird that Sue and Sebastian were being so nice. I thought it was all a hoax but I guess not. Oh, and Sue is PREGGERS!!!!!!!! So I guess her hormones are making her like this.
Now on to Regionals ... I only liked when New Directions did Fly/I Believe I Can Fly mash-up. There wasn't really any epic song that hyped me up like usual. None of the groups had songs like this and I was disappointed.
I have no idea why Finn and Rachel rushed their wedding so much. I don't get it. Rachel doesn't seem like the type of person that would have a court room wedding.
And I knew that something awful was gonna happen to Quinn. I wasn't surprised when the car hit her. I really hope she doesn't die or anything. I just don't really understand why they decided to do that. Was it so they can show the dangers of texting and driving?? And Rachel is gonna feel so guilty if and/or when she finds out that Quinn was answering her text when she got hit, especially if something really bad does happen. I'm not sure I'm excited for the premiere of this in April.

I don't know ... this episode was too serious for me to be happy for New Direction's win. Hopefully nothing too bad happens in the premiere. I can't say that I'm highly anticipating it but I do wanna see what happens next. The only thing I'm looking forward to is seeing Sue's  baby or her give birth for that matter!!!

Glee

I thought that this episode was really cute. Let me start with Rachel and Finn. They finally announced their engagement to everyone. I'm shocked that so many people acted the way they. I thought that most of them would be okay with it but I guess not. We finally got to see Rachel's dad, which could have been anyone. I think the choice was well made. The Berry's are one interesting bunch if you ask me. I think it was smart for the parents to let them see how life would be living together, but I didn't think it was right for them to do it with the hopes that it would break them up. I don't understand why they (and other people) said that they were too young to get married. People can get married young and it can last. And married people fight all the time, that doesn't mean that they should break up. But, anyway the wedding is in May now which doesn't give a whole lot of time to plan so they better get on that.
I'm not sure if I really cared about who got Sugar or not. I just have this strange feeling that Rory lied about having to go back to Ireland so soon and I think Arty thinks the same thing.
Blaine finally came back!!!
I would've like to see more of Mike and Tina than just a song in this episode. I mean all we really saw of them was when they sang "Love" and that was overtaken by Mercedes and Shane. (I'll get to them later)
I also think that seeing Mr. Shoe and Emma doing their V Day thing would've been really cute or even the Beiste and her man, but I guess this episode was all about the students.
Sam from the Glee Project finally made his appearance. And in the "God Squad", very interesting and I like it. I really liked how they handled the whole singing to gay people issue. They actually sat and discussed it like mature people, thought about their answer and made a decision. I think that was the perfect way to do.
I was really shocked when it wasn't Blaine that was sending the Valentine's to Kurt. I don't really understand why they chose for him to profess his love to Kurt in this episode. I wonder if they'll explore that more in the upcoming episodes??
Now, on to the love triangle of Mercedes, Sam, and Shane. I was shocked that she chose neither of them. I knew that she was gonna sing "And I Will Always Love You" and I think she did an amazing job. I think it was the best rendition of the song I've ever heard that wasn't Whitney and the best song of the episode.

Well, next week is the last episode for a while and it's Regionals and they continue to try and stop Rachel and Finn from marrying. Oh, and apparently Sue is pregnant which will be very interesting. Maybe we'll find out who the father is???

The Game

This was the funniest episode, by far, and I think the best of this season.
Tee Tee is THE funniest one of them all and he finally got to (almost fully) express his feelings to Melanie, which I think was the funniest moment of the episode.
I'm glad that Derwin and Malik got their friendship back on track. This is what we need to see. Them being friends. Now I don't like how Derwin is switching from one person to the next. First it was Kwan and now that he's not doing what Derwin wants he moves to Malik and wanting Malik to be the starter again. I wasn't expecting that whole meeting with the owner to happen the way it did. I thought he was gonna let Malik get some time off the bench but I guess I was wrong. And Derwin better get himself on good terms with the owner again because if he doesn't he could get kicked off the team and then would there even be a show anymore??
I actually felt really bad for Melanie this week. I mean, she has no one now. No friends, and her husband doesn't seem to want to be with her right now. Maybe Joan will make an appearance?? Okay, I know that's not going to happen. I knew she was gonna just break down and cry at the end which was just really sad. And for some reason I just had this strange feeling that something bad was gonna happen. Like, someone was gonna get into a car accident or that Trey Wiggs or one of Melanie's past boyfriends was gonna just show up at the car. I don't know why, I just did ...

Overall I think this was one the episodes that reminded me of the previous seasons (mostly 1-3). The football was finally back and we need to see much more of it. The comedy is also back and I think it was 50/50 with drama and comedy!!! :) I just wonder if Melanie and Tasha will ever make up at this point. I mean, Melanie tried which was a good this but Tasha is just so focused on her family right now that's she's being stubborn. All I know is that they better be friends before the season is over.

Lastly I would like to just say "Trey Wrongz" and if anyone was like me and was wonder "who the heck are the Hatfields and the McCoys?!" you can find out here. Oh and don't forget to watch the next new episode on March 6th. For some reason it's not new next week. So don't get upset when you turn there nest week and it's not new, don't think it's over, just think March 6th 10pm.

The Game

So I must start out saying that Jason and Chardonnay are the best thing on the show right now. I think they are perfect for each other and they BETTER NOT break up after these 4 weeks!!! Oh and Jason's rap was hilarious!! I might just have to learn that one. They should put it on iTunes like they did with the Dip and Pitts. I have some questions for Jason though. First of all, where is Brittany? When did you get your job back? Why are you still worried or even thinking about Kelly? And how do you have your own mac and cheese???
So Malik's little bit was interesting. I am so happy there was a reference to season one with the little kid thinking he was Cuba Gooding Jr. (Only real fans would understand this) I thought it was completely obnoxious that he had all that stuff in his house. I mean a horse...REALLY!!! And when he tried to swim, LOL!!! Happy to see Tee Tee but where was Bibs???
Now on to Melanie and Derwin. SMH!!! Melanie is still annoying!!!! What was the purpose of that whole charade she put on??!?!? I think their storyline could be a lot better and I hope it gets better. There are so many other things that they could show them doing. Like the whole thing with Trey Wiggs, I mean is he still in their driveway or what, like did he just magically disappear??? is he a "magical negro" too. And what about all the stuff that they are going through with having a child or not. Yes, we know that Melanie and Tasha aren't getting along right now but did their whole part of the show have to be about that?! And I feel like this is becoming more of the Melanie and Derwin show instead of one that gives equal focus to the entire cast. They really didn't have to be in this episode at all, especially if that's all that they were doing.
And I really hope Tasha has more of a life than just hanging out in that hotel bar. What's going on with her and can we see more of her please?? She's hilarious and my favorite character so I need my fix!!

Overall, I think Jason and Chardonnay are keeping the show alive right now. This is the only storyline that I haven't asked "what is the purpose of this" to. I hope that the other ones get better. And I know that there haven't been that many episodes so hopefully it'll get better as it goes along.

Until next week...

Glee

So this episode was pretty interesting. I mean sue wants to have a child and she asked Will to be the father ... I have no idea. I think Nene was a little harsh (but really hilarious) to Sue. I think that they are the perfect match to butt heads; the 2 short-haired blondes!
Can we get please get some closure on this Mercedes and Sam situation. I mean, I guess they are done but from what I saw I'm not sure. I think they cheated on Emma's little plan. They sang to each other and to me that's communicating, so... I just wish that they would official say if they are done or not cuz i can't take this.
On to Ricky Martin!!! The whole time I wished that I took more Spanish classes because I had no idea what they were singing. I'm so mad they did I'm Sexy and I Know It cuz that song is ... just watch the video.
I was shocked that Santana was the one that complained about the teachers and she cares more about school than what I thought.
So thank God for Mercedes saying what she said to Rachel and thank God for Kurt saying what he said to Finn. They were both right. I don't think it's a great idea for them to get married. I think it's for the wrong reasons. Finn doesn't think he has anything else going for him so he's just gonna marry the first person he truly loves. And I think Rachel accepted because she thought she had nothing else going for her but now that she's going to NYADA... I guess she's holding on to love. But really, what's gonna happen when they find someone better? Are they just gonna get a divorce? Or will they even be married when they move to NY? I guess we just have to wait and see. And I think Finn really needs to apply to schools. Just because his life was sucking doesn't mean he has to ruin his future.
Emma and Will, oh Emma and Will...don't they seem like the perfect couple?? I thought Will was really mean to her. All he had to do was sing a song in Spanish, it's not like he was gonna get fired if he messed up. But anyway...so Emma got the tenure??? Very nice I guess. I hope she finds a pamphlet for herself.

Overall, I thought this episode was very nice. I really don't think there will be anything better than the proposal episode...except for regionals, hopefully.

Glee

Okay so no matter what I say that I didn't think about this episode the fact that they only sung MJ trumps it all!!! I mean what better songs to sing than a bunch of MJ songs?!?!
I love how the episode began. Blaine did a very good job. I don't understand Rachel though...how do you "not get" MJ???
The whole "Bad" routine was amazing except for the end which I totally missed!! That guy from the Warblers (who name I forgot and doesn't deserve to be looked up) is a complete jerk and a few other choice words!!! In my opinion people who act like that are afraid of getting beaten so they try to provoke fear to the people that they are afraid of getting beaten by. But moving on, I think that it was a bit drastic that Blaine has to get surgery and that it doesn't really affect him now and he could probably heal up in time for regionals.

What the heck was up with Artie and him just being able to get up and walk?!?! I was so confused!! I mean yes it was a fantasy but was it really necessary for them to do that?? He could've sang the song in his wheel chair and we still would've gotten the same effect.
So Quinn got into Yale. I didn't think it was possible but good for her. Also, her advice was good but I don't think that it was well suited for Rachel. I mean the person that really could needs that advice is Quinn herself. She is the one that needs to "say goodbye" to all of the mess that happened to her in that past and move forward in her life. Maybe she still has feelings for Finn and doesn't want to see anyone else with him but her??? Ponder that one.
Okay, so of course the two people who I don't want to see together (Mercedes and Sam) sing my favorite MJ song of all time, Human Nature, which was amazing and then they KISS!!!!! WHAT?!?!? NO!!!
They sang "Ben", I totally called that one. But that song is about a rat...is that what they think of Blaine??? He did tell that Warbler guy what they were gonna sing at regionals...maybe the song does fit...ponder that!
"Smooth Criminal" was weird. I don't that guys voice!! Santana was good and her outfit was amazing! I want it, hat and all!!
YAY Kurt for being a finalist!!
I figured that once Rachel thought she didn't get into NYADA she would accept Finn's proposal because what else does she have to live for or look forward to in life at this point. And now that she's a finalist she probably will regret what she's done.
I thought "Black and White" was fun. It wasn't amazingly epic or anything, just fun and I loved that they did the little metamorphosis thingy at the end. I just wish that they kept to the original movements more.
This was a great episode. I think they did a great job recreating MJ's videos, but i do think that they failed me by not attempting to do the lean with "Smooth Criminal"
I think the proposal episode was better but MJ trumps all!!!!!
Next week's gonna be interesting. Nene's back!!!!! But Sue is tryna have a baby??? And they really sing "I'm Sexy and I Know It"??? WHY?!?

The Game

Okay, so I feel like the only important part of this episode was Jason's  storyline. Melanie and Derwin's was okay and kinda pointless and I feel like they could've showed someone else. I would've enjoyed seeing Tasha more and what's going on in her life, but no.
I really like this new Jason and Chardonnay is a great addition. They are both hilarious. I just don't understand why she doesn't want to be with him as much as he does. I mean he clearly likes her, if he didn't they wouldn't hang out so much. Maybe, deep down inside she really likes him but because he is who he is and she is who she is, she thinks it's not gonna work out?? I hope it does. I think they will get an annulment but maybe after the 4 weeks they'll realize they want to keep seeing each other and end up having a long term relationship. Tasha and Jason are hilarious together, point blank, nuff said. Oh and I couldn't help but think that when Jason said his special lady (or whatever) makes him think of white wine that Kelly may have been watching and thought that he was talking about her and then she'll come back a profess her love for him only to find out he's with a Black woman...but that may be a little far fetched. LOL.
Now, first of all "I Smile" lol. And how are you gonna hold up service?!?! Who does that?? And how do you have a VIP section in your church??? What kinda church is that??? Well anyway, it's nice to see Derwin back to his churchy self. I didn't really understand the point of that old woman sharing her issues UNTIL I watched the deleted scene (found here). And like I said before this storyline was pointless and the fact that they had a deleted scene to it proves my point.  Oh Oh!! Melanie is an idiot for thinking that God "grants wishes" and I think they might get pregnant soon. I really don't want it to happen in this season unless it's the season finally but I have this feeling that it's gonna happen soon.
And I guess that's really all that happened this episode which wasn't really much. The only good thing was that it was funny and I laughed a lot!! Oh and apparently Malik and Jenna are broken up!!! Which we will hopefully find out more about that in the upcoming episodes. And Malik and Derwin and Tasha and Melanie better make up fast cuz I can't take all this fighting and separation. In the words of my 2 year old cousin "I don't like it, I don't LIKE it."
No quotes for this episode but kudos to the Akil's for putting in a plug for Jumping the Broom and Think Like a Man.
