Scandal - Mama Said Knock You Out

Last night's episode went from 'haha this is hilarious' to 'holy friggin crap I can't believe this is happening!' This is going to be just a reaction post so if you haven't watched, get on that and then read. There's only a few things I want to talk about so let's go!

The Grant Family
They are the epitome of dysfunction. We thought the Pope's were a messed up family, but these Grants have some serious issues! Jerry and Karen finally make an appearance and bring out the worst in their parents. Fitz finally finds out about Mew, from his daughter of all people, and goes off! At first I was like really Fitz, you're pissed your wife's a cheater when you're a cheater? But then that scene with him and Mellie happened. See, Fitz punched Andrew because he thought that Andrew was the cause of his marriage problems. He thought Mellie didn't want sex from him because she was getting it from Andrew way back when. So I get the punching. We all know the real reason was the rape and all I wanted Mellie to do was tell the truth! Didn't you? At this point I really want her to tell him, then maybe he won't think of her as a horrible human being.

Mama Pope and Adnan
I just want to talk about how these two have all the info on the Grant campaign and they gave it to Ivan who's a terrorist. Are they going to try and kill Fitz again?! Another assassination attempt? I can't even with this right now. I mean, no, just no. And on top of that Jake knows! He knows Ivan was meeting with these two and he just wants to wait and see what happens before he does anything! This is not the time to sit around and do nothing. We all know what terrorist do and it's not good! Jake needs to get off his butt and do something about this before something bad happens. What do you guys think is going to happen with that?

Family
I love how this was a common theme throughout the episode. What was the line Fitz said? Something like "no matter what we are family and we love each other." And then Rowan said family sticks together. That rung so true last night. I just love the writers, don't you? Oh, and I think I'm starting to like Rowan which is so weird, but he finally came through in the end.

Overall, this was one of my favorites. I will definitely be going back and re-watching this again and again. Question: can yall handle what's going on with Quinn right now? Like, Huckleberry Quinn or CharliQuinn? I just want to know what yall think.

My Verdict on "The 100"

The 100 is another one of The CW's new shows. It's about a group on teens that are sent back to Earth 97 years after a nuclear war. They are sent there because the civilization humans created in space isn't going to be able to support all the humans there and they need to know if Earth is livable again. The group of kids sent are a bunch of criminals that they were just going to kill once they reached 18! Also, 2 teens snuck of the spaceship and one of them is the Chancellor's son.
The adults in charge of this experiment decided to track if the kids died or not by making them all wear wristbands. The problem with this is that the kids found a way to take the wristbands off, making the adults believe that they are dead, which is causing a lot of problems. I think all of this could have been avoided if they found a way to get cameras down there or found a way to communicate before the kids left. They other problem I have is that these adults thought it would be a good idea to send 100 teenagers down to Earth. I mean, did they really think that these kids would do anything they wanted them to do? It just baffles my mind.
Now here are somethings that I like about it. There are many strong female characters in this show which I'm here for. Clark (Eliza Taylor) is one of the teens that really takes charge once they get down there. She's the only one that does anything beneficial to help keep them alive, compared to this guy Bellamy (Bob Morley) who encourages everyone to take off their wristbands and do whatever they want. Clark's mother, Jaha (Paige Turco) is a Councillor, doctor, and the one in charge of this entire experiment. In the second episode we get introduced to another female character that searches for answers as to why they dropped the kids on Earth, not stopping for anything but the truth. In end we find out that she's an engineer and she's going to help rebuild another spaceship to take some others to Earth. I'm loving this and I hope it become a theme of the show.
My other favorite thing is the changes in the Earthly creatures because of the nuclear war. The kids encounter glowing butterflies, a two-headed deer and some kind of lion panther thing. I'm hoping that this is just the beginning. We also find out that there's some kind of altered human life on Earth, too. I can't wait until we actually see what they look like.
Overall, I like the show even though the adults understand nothing about teenagers. I will keep watching it hoping it gets better and better as the season goes on. I'm start to realize that I really love Sci-Fi. Did you guess like it? Why? Why not? Let know in the comments below. Also you can tweet me @KiaCherise.

Non-Stop

Air Marshal Bill Marks (Liam Neeson) is taking a trip to London when he starts getting text messages saying that a passenger will die every 20 minutes unless 150 million dollars is transferred to an account. He has to find out who it is and stop them before people start dying.
This was  your typical action movie. There wasn't anything amazingly different about it that made it really stand out. It was filled with action and had many twist and turns. It got extremely intense in the end but as for the rest of the movie, on a level of 1-10 with 10 being the most intense, it was a 4 and a half.
Of course I spent the entire time guessing who it was sending the text messages. I had many theories that changed throughout the movie but my first guess was right and I wished it wasn't. I would have liked it better if it wasn't my first guess. If you ask, I'll tell you who it should have been in the comments below. We can also talk more about what specifically happened, likes, dislikes in the movie in the comments. I just don't want to put spoilers in this post but feel free in the comments. That also serves as a warning to those that haven't seen it to steer clear of the comments.
Overall this was a good movie. If you like actions movies then you will be pleased.
I want to try and implement a rating system. I want it to be something unique, not the typical 1-10 scale, but I may go that route if I can't think of anything. Share your ideas if you can think of anything. Thanks!

Glee - 100/New Directions

Glee has reached 100 episodes and celebrated by bringing everyone back. It was like old times and made me want to watch all the old episodes over again. I'm going to attempt to say what happened in one sentence. Will tries to save the glee club, Rachel and Mercedes have a diva-off, Santana goes on her mean rants, and Puck swoons over Quinn who lies about her past. Like I said, it was like old times. Oh yeah, and there was graduation. Cues the tears.
Here's what I liked. I have to say that I didn't like the idea of remixing old songs at first, but that changed. I loved it and my favorite remix would have to be "Loser Like Me." Of course they sang "Don't Stop Believin'" for the 100th time and it was awesome and made me want to cry. Also Mercedes (and Kurt) sang "I Am Changing" and I loved it. There's was also some great Brittana action that I know all yall loved.
Here are my questions. First, how/why is it that these two episodes were more like seasons 1-3 than all the other episodes of this season? What changed? Second, now that they're focusing on New York, will we even see the new kids again? I know some people don't care what happens to them but they grew on me. And what about Will? How often, if ever, will we see him? I have no clue what they're going to do next because I felt like I was watching the last two episodes of the series these past couple weeks. Which brings me to my last questions, why wasn't this the series finale and what will the series finale be like now? I haven't the slightest idea. Let me know your theories in the comments below.
Overall, I thoughts these two episode where great. They brought on all the feels. It's a miracle that I still have tears. Don't forget to let me know what you thought of it in the comments below.

Switched at Birth - Love Seduces Innocence, Pleasure Entraps, and Remorse Follows

Such an interesting title for the finale. I will come back to this and discuss it's meaning, but first the episode.
Let's start with Daphne. Her story line seemed to be the best of the night. Jorge found out about her and Campbell. I felt super bad for him but he was very professional with it all. Daphne got a blast from the past when the guy who robbed her food truck made an appearance at the clinic. I forgot about him and it seems like he forgot about Daphne. She was not so sure about being a doctor and working at clinic after seeing him, but when he came back and really needed help she came through. This girl always does what's necessary in these situations, no matter who the person is and I think that she'll be a great doctor.
Now Toby was all ready to run off to be with Nikki and I seriously didn't know how to feel about it. I wanted him and Nikki to stay together so bad but something's got to give. I think that marriage is about compromise and Nikki doesn't seem willing to do that. It's just a sad situation and I hope Toby can get through it and find what he wants to do and do it.
Regina still has issues with Wes, so she decided to take matter into her own hands. I'm glad she stood up to him and told him that dealing with contracts is not her job description. Of course, he wasn't too happy to hear that. In the end he ended up firing her because some of the people in the neighborhood lawyered up, with Regina's advice, but he had no proof of that. I didn't want her working for Wes but I didn't want her to get fired. And now she has to pay back the $50,000! I really hope everything works out. All Regina wants to do is make better for herself and bad things keep happening. Also, did anyone else notice that Regina and Angelo were kind of going through the same thing with their businesses?
Now onto the biggest drama of the night Bay and Emmett. First, Emmett got catfished by the guy (Matthew?) that was slashing tires and he beat Emmett up when they met. I figured it out when Bay searched the girl's name and could only find it on that one website. So Emmett was stranded at some random park.
Meanwhile, Bay is still having trouble with Tank and his frat. Honestly, I completely understand her. I never got the point of frats and sororities especially when they do ridiculous things like hazing and dog fight parties. In the end Tank left the frat, for Bay, but she has no idea. So Bay ran off to help Emmett and ended up confessing that she still loves him and they end up having sex! And that's how the episode ended. I know all you Bemmett fans are happy. I just have a bad feeling about this. I don't know why, I just don't think anything good can come from this, and it's more that the fact that she has to deal with Tank. It's just a complicated situation.
Overall, this was a good finale. The story lines can go in a number of directions and I can't wait to see it happen. The season overall has been great. I'm loving Regina's story line and the cast additions are great, especially Renzo.
Now let's talk a little bit about the title. I have no doubt in my mind it's referencing the Bemmett situation. I think we've seen the love and the pleasure but what about the remorse. I think this is a clue to the next part of this season. What do you think will happen next? Let me know in the comments. I'll see you guys in June for the premiere of the second half of the season.

My Verdict on 'Crisis'

I know I talked about this a little bit in another post (here), I wanted to give my final verdict after watching the second episode.
For those who haven't seen it here's a brief synopsis. On Marcus Finley's (Lance Gross) first day as a secret service agent a bus load of kids, including the president's son, is kidnapped. Finley's partner was part of the kidnapping, but Finley knew nothing about it so he fought back but was only able to save one kid.
What I gathered from it was that the man in charge of the kidnapping is doing this so the parents of the kids can feel his pain. See, he was forced to work for the government and if he didn't follow orders they would do something (kill/harm in some way) his daughter. The tagline of the show is "how far would you go to protect the ones you love" and this guy is basically asking the parents what are you willing to do to protect your kid.
The show is interesting, but it looks like it's going to be the same thing over and over again. The kidnapper calls a parent and tells them to do something and then they'll get their kid back, meanwhile Finley and the FBI search for the kids. Also, it's a bit too slow for me. I watch a lot of fast paced shows where a lot happens in 5 minutes so I might be spoiled. I feel like this whole thing could be solved in an episode of Criminal Minds. It's just one case and that's the whole season, but what happens when the crisis is over? When it's solved and they catch the guy, what will happen? Will the show be over? I just think that it's very focused on this specific crisis and if it doesn't get bigger than that, the show won't last. They need something to happen that will give it depth because right now all they're doing is looking for kids and their kidnappers. They need to focus on why the kids were taken and make more than just the fact that their parents are super powerful.
Overall, I think it's an interesting show but I don't see it going very far unless it gets some more depth. I'll probably keep watching because I don't watch anything else on Sunday nights at 10pm, especially now that football season is over. I will say that if I miss an episode and forget to catch up, I may never watch it again simply because it's not that much of a priority to me. So if this show sounds interesting to you then watch it but I won't blame you if you stop watching. If you've watched it please tell me what you think especially if you feel differently. Persuade me to keep watching.

Scandal - Kiss Kiss, Bang Bang

Who Got Shot?
James got shot and died! I think we all knew that James was the one that got shot, but I was really hoping on that not dying thing. This was one of the most heartbreaking things to ever watch, especially with the flashbacks. All throughout the episode we saw flashbacks of Cyrus and James relationship from the first time they met to the moment Cyrus finally made the relationship public. Seeing Cyrus breakdown and then watching James die was rough. I felt so bad for Cyrus and how could you not. And even though that last scene was hard to watch I don't think the purpose of it was to traumatize us. I think the purpose was to make us feel bad for Jake. I don't think making Jake command was the best thing for him. It just doesn't seem like a good fit and I got that feeling because of what he said to James. I don't think Rowan would've done that. Jake feels like he has to do these things to protect the republic and I think he's sorry he has to do it. He didn't really have a choice either. So he's just like I'm here, doing my job, whether I really want to or not, and there's nothing I can do about it so sorry.
And I guess we can say David lucked out but not really. I mean he got to live but he has to cover the shooting up. David likes to wear the white hat and now he's being forced no to and it's getting to him. I think he feels a little bit better about himself now that he decided to work with Olivia to bring down B613. I just hope Olivia watches her back because the last person that worked with David ended up dead.

Adnan and momma Pope
Last night we got more of a glimpse of what these two are up to. Here's what we know. Adnan hired momma Pope and they are both looking for a terrorist. Who and why are questions that still need to be answered. I think Adnan bit off more than she could chew. She had no idea who she was working with and now that she's seen what momma Pope can do, she wants out. Momma Pope is one scary lady and I wouldn't want to be left alone with her. So it looks like Adnan is going to need the help of Olivia to get through this one. We'll see how that goes.

Olivia and Rowan
I just want to talk about these two for a minute. First off, they are just alike! They act alike, they talk alike they both have/had these command-like positions where they send out their legions of people to help fix things. It's insanity and I love it!
Second, I want to talk about how they made Rowan like God. From the moment they said his name was Eli I immediately thought they were going to make him like God because in the Bible Jesus calls God Eli (Matthew 27:46). He knows everything about everyone and when he was command he was in control of everything. Also when momma Pope came back she talked about how he made Olivia in "his image" (Genesis 1:27) and his monologue sealed the deal last night when he said he was like "the hand of God" when he was command. It's crazy and I couldn't go on without mentioning it. This just shows how amazing the writers are and how much thought they put into everything.

Huckleberry Quinn
I couldn't write this without mentioning these two. Huck showed up at Quinn's house to kill her because she broke in to Liv's safe, which isn't really safe at all, and that makes her "broken." Oh Huck, that upgraded security system needs to be upgraded again starting with a new safe. He didn't go through with it because he thinks that somewhere deep down inside she still is a gladiator because she got herself caught. She should have known better. Then she spit on him (yuck) and then he made out with her! What the Huck is going on with them and where did this come from. I mean does he like her? It wouldn't be the first time he liked a girl that was crazy. Remember Becky? I just don't understand what that was about and I hope they address it again or I'll be pretty upset.

This was the most heartbreaking episode ever. Just the saddest thing I've ever seen. The only somewhat happy thing that happened was that Mellie finally got her some action from Andrew. So now she's a cheater, just like her husband. Oh and Sally got her sanity back, but I'm upset about that because I loved crazy "crispy piggy" yelling Sally. Oh well.
Well, that's that. Let me know what yall thought about this episode in the comments below. Also, we finally get to see the Grant kids and I'm excited! Let me know your theories on what you think that will be like, too, in the comments below. And don't forget to follow me on twitter @KiaCherise so we can live tweet together. Until next week!

Thor 2: The Dark World

I can't believe it's taken me this long to this movie but at least I've seen it, right?
In this installment, Thor is protecting Jane Foster who has been possessed by Aether which can turn all of the worlds dark, hence the title. In order to save her, Thor is forced to team up with the oh so wonderful Loki.
I have to say this movie was far better than the first one. I mean, I love Thor but the first one was definitely just the introduction movie. Back to this one, I loved it. We got to see some of the other worlds in Asgard's universe and we got some history of the worlds too, with the Dark Elves. We also were introduced to some new people like Sif who is also seen in Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. (I think it's awesome that the show is connecting to the movies this way) I don't want to give anything away but that ending, holy goodness! I mean, I was freaking out! The last thing that I liked about this movie was the score. I love scores of super hero movies because they're so epic!
This is your typical amazing Marvel movie and think all fans should see this and I'm pretty sure you have. If you haven't, what are you doing?! Get up and go see it and make sure you keep watching until it is 100% over! I mean it. You know how Marvel is with adding stuff within the credits. All in all this is a great movie and you should see if you haven't and if you have, see it again. Either way, you should let me know what your favorite parts were and your thoughts on that ending in the comments below.

Switched at Birth - The Ambush

Last night's episode was filled with relationship troubles, good advice, pranking, and the season ender for the field hockey team.
Daphne, Bay and Regina are having trouble with the men in their life. Daphne has decided on which guy she wants to be with (with the help of Kathryn) and she chose Campbell. Sorry team Jorge. I know it stinks, I was rooting for him too. Daphne's problem was that she didn't know how everything would work considering Campbell's in a wheelchair. We saw this on their first real date. First there was a struggle with getting his chair over the curb and then the club owner discriminated against them because Campbell was in a wheelchair and Daphne went off! Luckily, they talked about it and things are looking up for them.
Bay continues to have problems with Tank. He seems to have gotten over the whole spilling the dog fight beans and all seems great, until he tries to take the relationship to the next level and Bay doesn't want to. Regina gives her some great advice on the situation. She tells her that just because you've had sex once doesn't mean you have to do it again and again. I really have to applaud this show on how they handle teen issues. There's no judges or biases. Advice is given and the choice is left to the person. Great job with that. Tank and Bay talked and resolved their issues and all seems well, but hints are being dropped that Bay still has feelings for Emmett. I'm starting to think she does especially after that conversation she had with Kathryn. What do you guys think? Are you still shipping Bemmett?
Now on to Regina. She is still have problems with Wes. This week he's making go around to all the businesses in her old neighborhood and handing them papers to sign to sell so Wes can build. At this point I'm really starting to think that Wes is taking advantage of Regina. It seemed like he was getting her to do his dirty work and he's using her because she speaks Spanish, like some of the business owners. I mean, isn't she the designer? Is she even supposed to be handling contracts and things like that? She didn't even understand what they meant until she asked John about it. I don't really trust Wes and he keeps freaking out at her! How much of this can she take? If it were me I would've quit a long time ago. How do you guys feel about Wes? Do you think he's a good person?
The last of the relationship drama is with Toby and Nikki. Nikki had returned!! (Shocker!) But, she isn't around for long and she dropped a couple bombs on Toby. First, she got offered a job in Africa and then in the end they had this heartbreaking conversation about how they can't be married anymore! Who almost cried during that? (ME!) I was really rooting for them and it really is heartbreaking that they might breakup. I wanted them to stay together so bad. I hope they do.
I will end on a happy note. Even though Carlton didn't win the game, they did score a point which wasn't expected by the opposition and Sharee may be getting a scholarship because a  scout came to watch the game and was impressed. So happy things are turning around for her.
Overall this episode was good. I think the finale is going to be the most intense and shocking episode of the season and I can't wait! Some crazy stuff is going to happen and I think there's going to be and epic Bemmentt moment.
Let me know what you thought of this episode and predictions for next week in the comments below. Don't forget to share and tweet this to all your wonderful friends.

Quick Reviews/Reactions - Resurrection, Believe, Crisis

Here are my initial reactions and reviews of the new shows Resurrection and Believe. Also saying a little bit about Crisis.

Resurrection
This show starts out with a little boy waking up, in China, 32 years after he died. He leads an immigration to his hometown and parents house. This is when the drama begins. Initially I thought this show was creepy and really good, and, I still feel this way. With more and more people coming back from the dead, secrets are being exposed and I'm curious on what happens next. I do have some questions like if these really are the same people that died and how healthy are they because the little boy had seizures, but I believe they will be answered as the season goes on.
So I will keep watching. The show has a great story line and I really believe that it has a future. If you haven't checked it out, you should. I can't wait to see what the rest of the season has in store and I will be live tweeting all the way!

Believe
This show is about a little girl with special powers and what people do to keep her safe. While watching the first episode I was extremely confused. This is one of those shows that start out right in the middle of things and we don't get the whole story in the first episode. I love it when shows do this. I've watched too many shows where they spend the entire pilot telling you everything and it doesn't get good until the second episode, and this is why I don't review a show until after the second episode. So after watching the second episode I can say that I am a little less confused. I just wonder if they show will become too much of the same thing over and over. It seems like each episode will be this girl and they guy protecting her running from the people that want her back. (These people created her or something like that) I'm afraid I'll get bored of seeing them run all over the US together. And I wonder what will happen if they ever get caught.
I will keep watching through onDemand and the internet, hoping it gets better.

Crisis
I don't usually talk about a show until after the second episode but I thought I'd share a little bit since it premiered last night. So my initial reaction is that I'm unsure about this show. I thought it was unnecessarily over dramatic at times, the green screen was insanely noticeable and I have a million questions, but I want these questions to get answered which a reason to keep watching. I guess I'll have to wait and see what happens but as of right now I'm leaning towards not watching again if it doesn't get any better after the second episode.

Have you guys watched these shows? Let me know what you think in the comments. Don't forget to follow me on Twitter @KiaCherise to see my live tweets.

Scandal - No Sun on the Horizon

Last night we were left with one of the biggest cliffhangers this show has ever given us, and it wasn't even the season finale! Some craziness happened in this episode and I can't wait to tell you about how I felt about it so let's go!

This whole Sally mess
Sally is getting crazier and crazier with each episode. I mean she's calling people piggies and calling Olivia the "devil at [her] doorstep." This lady is completely off her rockers! Remember last week when I said that she was going to blurt out what she did? Well, she actually made the conscious decision to do in the middle of the presidential debate! In all honesty I really wanted to see this happen. I would have loved to see the reactions of everyone when she spilled the beans, but it was more complicated than that. Olivia found out and she told Fitz, because they're not lying to each other, and then she had him lose the debate on purpose so Sally could have her "sign from God" to stop her from confessing. B613 (Tom) killing Sally would have been the backup plan. But, Fitz saved the day so no one died in the middle of the televised debate.
I was a little mad because I wanted Sally to spill the beans, but only if it was still a secret  between her, Leo, and Cyrus. I also didn't want Fitz to throw the debate. He just does what everyone else wants him to, especially Olivia. I just want him to really think for himself and do what he wants. What do yall think?

Who got shot?
David and James are still trying to bring down Sally, this time they ask Olivia for help. I don't know how many times I can continue calling these two idiots! Nothing good can come from their antics and James of all people should know this because a similar thing happened a little while back and he was almost killed. This time he wasn't so lucky. Yes, that means I think he was the one that got shot. David's life is already awful so him getting shot would be super obvious. But can you just imagine him lying a hospital bed saying something like 'I thought my life couldn't get any worse...?' Also, the person who got shot might not be dead. The question is "who got shot" not who got killed or who Jake kill. Fitz got shot in the head for goodness sake and still lived so you never know.
My real question is who was Jake talking to in the beginning and end? It sounded like he was inducting someone into B613, but who was it? I don't think it was Quinn because she already knows about all the stuff he was saying. What do yall think? All I know is this will be the thing that will bug me all week.

Other things
Rowan is still running around acting like he has all the power in the world, but he doesn't.
Where was Adnan and momma Pope? Can we get back to them please?
Is anyone else really annoyed by the whole Jake, Olivia, Fitz love triangle? It's kind of the most confusing, ridiculous thing on this show right now. I mean, first she wants to pretend with Jake then she doesn't want to pretend with Fitz. Make up your mind woman!! Seriously, what does she really want?
Can we also get back to the Mellie Andrew (Mew is their ship name) story line?

Overall, this was the most intense episode of the season. I'm starting to freak out because I expect this level of intensity closer to the finale, but there are five episodes left! I can't even begin to imagine what will happen later on.

I'd love to know all your theories and if you agree with me or not. Let's talk about it in the comments below or find me Twitter @KiaCherise and we can talk there.

Glee - City of Angels

It's the last Nationals ever and the New Directions are trying to bring home that #1 trophy. This year they're heading to Los Angeles. The main goal for everyone this year is to win the trophy in honor of Finn. Let's get right to my highlights of the night.
Mercedes is on of my favorite characters so I was super excited to see her this episode. Second, did yall love the judges as much as I did? They had Marlee Matlin, Jackée Harry, and the prancersize lady! The other thing I really loved was the fact that they sang all of Finn's favorite songs. How many of us were tearing up at that, especially when they showed the flashbacks and then raised the drumsticks in the air at the end? They were really trying to make us cry last night.
Sadly, their hard work only got them the 2nd place trophy. I can't believe they couldn't win their last national competition. That is something that I didn't like. What did you guys think of it?
Also, because they didn't win, the glee club is no more! Half of me is like, just because Sue says there's no more club doesn't mean much. When has that ever stopped them before? But, I have read that they were going to focus more on the New York aspect of the show, so the other half me is like, this is how they're going to do it, but I still have some questions. First, how are they going to do it? My guess is that after graduation the graduates will head to New York and they'll just show that. But what about the others that don't graduate? Will they even be on the show anymore. What do you guys think? What do you want to see?
Overall, this was a really nice episode. I love how they continue to pay tribute to Finn, even if it does make me want to cry all the time. I'm really excited for the next episode because it's the 100th which means we get throwback songs! I will definitely be rocking out the entire time.
Remember, I want to know what you guys thought of the episode and I'd love to hear your theories on what will happen next. Don't hesitate to comment.

Switched at Birth - The Past (Forgotten-Swallowed)

First off, what is with that title? I mean, "forgotten-swallowed." What does that even mean? Anyway, not too much happened this week so let's quickly talk about it.
To my surprise, the field hockey team is living the struggle life with zero wins all season. I seriously thought they were doing better. On top of it, one of their star player, Sharee, is about to get kicked off the team if she doesn't ace her physics exam. So Toby takes it upon himself to help her out. Nothing really happened with them other than Toby being a good tutor. I'm guessing something will because Toby is having some issues with Nikki. She wants him to come do missions with her but he really can't pick up his stuff and leave because all the things he has going on. Nikki doesn't seem to think this though. I think there might be some real trouble in paradise.
Mary Beth doesn't like Tank because of the whole luau dog fight frat party, and is uncomfortable with the fact that Bay is still dating him. Of course, Bay has to do everything she can to change that and, of course, it didn't work out for her. Mary Beth ended up telling Bay the truth about Ty and how Tank will never be Ty. I think Mary Beth was way overdue in telling Bay about Ty, but what I don't get is how anyone could think that what Ty did was okay. Number one, Bay does not like a cheating guy. We all know that the one guy that she really liked cheated and she can't get over that. So Ty cheating is devastating to her. Number two, he lied about it and I think that's even more awful. I get that he wanted to protect her but I think the truth would've been better than a lie. I don't think Bay should try and get back with him. On another note, can we give props to Emmett for being a great friend. Bay literally comes to him with all her problems (even though she has a boyfriend) and he's always there to help.
Daphne's situation is a little bit better. She's got two guys trying to win her over. She should milk ever bit of this situation and really make them work for it. I have no clue who she's going to choose but I do hope it's Jorge. Her problems this week come from Angelo. She's jealous of Abby and how Angelo's being a good father to her when he was a not so great one to Daphne. She has a point, but Angelo is trying which is so much better than nothing. Hopefully one day these two can patch things up.
Lastly, and probably my favorite moment of the episode, John and Kathryn's situation. See, Kathryn wanted to get one more story for her book proposal so John suggested on inviting his old teammate over for dinner. That didn't go as planned. His teammate and girlfriend are swingers and when John said he and Kathryn wanted more adventure things went in that direction. It was hilariously awkward. In the end it was John who gave Kathryn her last story. Who knew? Seriously though, who is this man that they keep calling John because he's nothing like the John I remember. He's changing, finally! Maybe I'll actually start to like him, but we shall see.
Overall this episode was okay. It wasn't as explosive as I expected it to be. With two episodes left, I guess they're saving all the crazy drama for the finale. I hope it doesn't disappoint.
As always, I want to know what yall thought. Let me know in the comments.

The Perks of Being a Wallflower

Charlie (Logan Lerman) as starting his freshman year at high school with zero friends, but that all changed one night when he went to a football game. There he got to know seniors Patrick (Ezra Miller) and Sam (Emma Watson) and he then met their group of friends. This movie is the story of everything that happened that year.
Now this is one of those movies that's based on a book, but sadly I haven't read the book. Usually I would have read the book first but that wasn't the case. After watching, I do want to read the book eventually. Here are my thoughts on the movie. I really enjoyed it. I thought it was really interesting that the author of the book also wrote and directed the film. I can only assume that this means it was as close to the book as it could possibly be. My two favorite things were the writing and the music. I mean, I can't get over some of the lines that were said in this movie. My favorite line was when Charlie said "...we can't choose where we come from but we can choose where we go from there." I just love that. Oh, and I want the playlist to this movie, preferably sent as a mix tape in a walkman.
I recommend this movie, but make sure you have a box of tissues ready. There are some parts that made me tear up and I want you to be prepared because I wasn't. I hope you enjoy it as much as I did and if you've seen it, what are your thoughts?

Scandal - We Do Not Touch the First Ladies

Oh the unbelievable craziness that is this show. This roller coaster ride is getting more and more twistier! So much stuff happened in this episode, where do I even begin.

Mellie and Andrew
We got flashbacks of these two (oh how I love my flashbacks), but it wasn't the super steamy scenes that we expected them to be. It turns out that Mellie didn't cheat with him back then. She had the chance but didn't take it. Not what I was expecting! Instead he just saved her from killing herself and she told him everything about the rape and how she doesn't know who the father of her son is. Now let's fast forward to present day. They did have a make out session and he actually did touch the first ladies. What is going to happen with these two next? I can not wait to see it. Mellie seemed upset about what she did but I can't help but think that she's going to like feeling "hot" about someone like Fitz does. And how will this change her conversations with Olivia since she's actually, kind of, like her now. Knowing Mellie won't do anything to destroy her husband's chance of being president, all this will probably be kept hush hush.

James and David
The trouble these two get into and it only got worse. Cyrus is determined to find out who Publius and destroy him, which means that he wants to kill his husband, again. James literally went off his rocker in this episode. I thought his head was going to explode or something. His anxiety gives me anxiety! And what's worse is he put David in danger! David almost got himself kidnapped by Charlie but Abby came to his rescue. I hope that now these two can realize that nothing good can happen from them working together.

Sally
This lady has definitely gone crazy. She can't even hold a normal conversation without having flashbacks of killing Daniel Douglass, or as Hollis likes to call him "Double D." (Hollis is back!!) I don't think she'll make it through this election. I just don't see her making it through at the rate she's going. At some point she's going to have a flashback and while dazed and confused she'll spill the beans at the wrong place, to the wrong person.

Olivia, Fitz and Jake
The episode started it with Olitz in a huge argument that produced another epic monologue from Olivia. Olivia is pissed becuase she doesn't think Fitz trust her, Fitz doesn't trust Jake, and Jake is pissed he's in a fake relationship; these three. And, Olivia doesn't even know if she has feeling for Jake or not. I am too through! I'm no longer team Fitz and I'm not team Jake either. I'm team Olivia get your crap together by yourself! I can't handle them anymore.

B613
In this episode we see Jake get all the information he needs to fully be command and we are told that he has a secret spy in the White House. It's only in the final seconds of the episode that we find out it's Tom! Secret Service Agent Tom who's known for giving us wonderful Olitz scenes is in B613! What the what?! I feel like once people start really liking someone they do something to ruin it! I just can't even begin to comprehend what all this means.

Quinn and Huck
First off Quinn. I started feeling bad for her last week but she ruined that last night. Number one, she is the worst spy ever! How many times has she gotten caught?! This time Olivia caught her, and she tried to be nice by asking Quinn to come home but no. Quinn had to go pull a gun on her! I can not with this girl! Olivia got out that car real quick when she saw that gun. She should of acted like Jada Pinkett did in "Kingdom Come" (watch here).
Now Huck. His perfect, cute life got ruined by B613 and now he thinks of himself as a monster. And, he tries so hard to be normal but he just can't. I feel so bad for him. He has a point though. It's not entirely his fault that Quinn is the way she is. Someone really should have been keeping watch over her to make sure she wasn't getting too crazy. But she did get crazy and now she's :"violent now."

Momma Pope is back!
That's right, we finally got a glimpse of momma Pope and guess who's she's working with? Adnan Salif! Now a little while ago, when we found out Maya was bad, I had the thought that maybe Adnan Salif was one of her alias' or she was working with her, but I didn't say anything because I thought it was too crazy. Silly, silly me for thinking something was too crazy for Shondaland. But what is their agenda? Are they going to try to bring down the White House because Rowan already started doing that. Will we see Rowan and Maya working together in the future? Does Harrison know Adnan's working with Olivia's mom? I need answers!
To my "Avatar The Last Airbender" fans, didn't that last bit with Maya remind you of when we first met Azula?

As always this episode was crazy. There wasn't enough Rowan for my liking though. I am so here for Mellivia! These two are killing it and their scenes together are one of the best things about this season. I love it! As for next week, I think I'll literally need an oxygen tank or something. They are not playing around. They are going to give us everything they have in these last 6 episodes and I'm not ready!!
Let me know what you think about it all.

Glee - Trio

This episode is all about the trios and it started out with a song from one of the greatest trios of all time; Destiny's Child.
After Will and Emma destroyed Becky's life with their sexapades (yeah, they're trying to have a baby), Tina, Sam, and Blaine sang "Jumpin', Jumpin'." They just busted out singing it and I didn't understand the purpose of it, but my brother informed me that it needs no purpose and he couldn't be any more right. This trio, well mostly Tina, is upset because graduation is coming up and they are about to go their separate ways. So, they decide to have a lock in with just the tree of them, but Becky crashed it. I thought all the lock in shenanigans were ridiculous. From Becky and her energy drinks to Tina and Sam making out, just ridiculous. Their shenanigans in the entire episode were ridiculous and it was so rude of them to not include Artie in any of it. And Tina really needs to learn how to control her emotions because she literally melted into a puddle of tears this week!
Now Rachel has completely lost her mind! New York has made her mad and I don't like it. She has turned into a straight up diva and not the wonderful kid, the annoying kind. This fighting with Santana needs to end! It's West Side Story all over again and I have a feeling that this time they won't get equal time. I think that Rachel diva-ness might sabotage her and Santana could be a bigger star than her. All I know is she better get her act together because this is a side of her that I don't want to see anymore. And go Kurt for turning 'Angela Lansbury' into 'One Three Hill.'
Oh and there's going to be a Wemma baby!! YAY!
Overall, this episode was good, but the music made it great! I mean they sang "Don't You Forget About Me" and "Hold On." Both remind me of 2 great movies 'The Breakfast Club' and 'Bridesmaids.' I just want to know if any of the new kids are going to talk at some point in the rest of the season. I seems like they're putting all the focus on the original cast members. I know some people love the originals and only want to see them, I get it. I love them too. I just wish there was more of a balance, but we shall see. Next week is nationals and I'm excited. See you then.

Switched at Birth - Dance Me To the End of Love

The dancing episode is finally here and it was great!
I feel like I always start with Daphne so let's just keep that tradition going. Daphne must have gotten really inspired when she saved her bosses life because now she wants to be a doctor. I think it's a great idea! So she decides to ask for more responsibility at the clinic. At first Jorge was pissed at her but he got over it. Her helping out really didn't help though, but I'm glad she didn't reconsider. Her boss talked some sense into her when she visited him. Maybe he'll become her mentor or something? It looks like probation was the best thing to ever happen to her. Who knew?
Travis is having some issues of his own. Mary Beth wants to go to this dance and Travis said he would go, but he doesn't know how to dance. This is when it got funny. Travis' dancing is hilarious! Not because he's bad, but because he tried so hard. It was so adorable. And the face that Melody made when she walked in on Toby and Angelo teaching him was priceless. I really like Mary Beth and Travis together. I thing they're the best couple on the show right now.
Bay is really struggling with her art, now that she can't use her hand, and she really heard it from her professor this week, but she had a point. Bay really has to start thinking outside of the box now because of her injury. Her professor might have been a little harsh but it was what Bay needed to get herself together. It's good thing she did get it together even though she had help from Emmett. Photography isn't what she does and she does have an injury. Let's talk about Bemment for a minute. I feel like they really want us to think that there's a chance they'll get back together. Honestly, I like them as just friends. Especially with graduation coming up they'll probably go their separate ways and I don't want to see that drama if they get back together. It'll be all that long distance, or not, type stuff that she almost had to go through with Ty and I don't want to see that again.
Now for Kathryn and John. First off, John you are a real slob. No wonder Kathryn is pissed at you! But seriously, winning her back with gift's is not going to fix your problems. The only thing that will fix it is therapy and I think they both really need and I hope they get it. John needs to realize that Kathryn's problems are serious. Once he gets that then they can get on the road to recovery. That whole dance thing was a great start though. I think I might be starting to like John. (I shutter at the thought!)
Overall this episode was great! The dancing aspect was just right. I was a little worried it would be all dancing, all the time, but they had a good balance. And it was nice to have a break from all the crazy drama, which will be back next week. See ya then!

Oscars 2014 - Winners, Losers and My Favorite Moments

Shockingly, the Oscars were great last night. I say shockingly because usually they're just a long boring show, you're just waiting around to see who wins best actor, actress, and picture, and the host is not the greatest. But, this year was different. The entire show was actually really entertaining with most of the credit going to the host, Ellen DeGeneres.
So here are my favorite moments.
  • That 'Happy' performance
  • Everything that had to do with pizza. Pizza was ordered, it was passed out, and people ate the pizza.
  • All the '12 Years A Slave' wins: Lupita Nyong'o, John Ridley, the Best Picture win.
  • Steve McQueen literally jumping for joy.
  • Pink's performance.
  • And I can not forget Twitter
Here's a list of all the winners here
The biggest loser of the night would have to be John Travolta because he apparently pronounce Idina Menzel's name wrong. I didn't notice it but that's what twitter is for. Sucks for him!
