My Top Moments of 2013

I thought I would add in my top TV and Movie moments of this year. Here they are in no particular order.

The Blacklist is good, Hostages was bad
This is one thing I didn't expect to happen. I was hype when Hostages came on but I soon realized that it wasn't the show for me. Then I checked out The Blacklist and was instantly hooked. Now I have something to look forward to Mondays.

Scandal Exploded
This kind of started in 2012 but I'm mentioning it because of Twitter. Twitter is actually a key component to this show. And now Nielsen has Twitter TV ratings and I'm convinced that Scandal is part of the reason for this. Also the show is crazy good and continues to blow us away every week.

Glee end in sight
We now know that Glee will end after the 7th season. Will a show like this (characters coming and going) you always wonder when it'll end. All good things must come to an end.

Have and Have Nots
I was not a fan of this show. I watched the first episode and thought it was going to be all dramatic and soap opera-esq so I stopped watching. Then I heard a ton of buzz and my sister (who doesn't like anything) was hooked. So I started watching again and found myself wanting more. Now I can't wait for January 7th.

Web Series/YouTube shows
YouTube is HUGE now and there are many shows on there that are worth watching. My favorites: anything Issa Rae does and the Unwritten Rules. Check these pages out.

My year of drama TV
I now watch more dramatic shows than comedies. I need more comedy in my life so, HELP!

All the movies starring people of color
Best Man Holiday, The Butler, 12 Years A Slave, 42, Fruitvale Station. Need I say more?!

Cheryl Boone Isaacs the new president of The Academy
The first black president also a woman! Woman power all the way! She's only the 3rd woman to fill this role so let's hope and pray this brings more woman to the job. I'm rooting for her to do an amazing job!

And there you have it folks. Some of the amazing things that happened in 2013. Hopefully 2014 is bigger and better. Happy New Year to all.

Scandal - A Door Marked Exit

Okay, so I was a little scared that I wouldn't have anything to say because last night's episode legit left me speechless but let's face it, I always have something to say. So where do I begin?

Let's talk about Sally Langston. That first scene was AMAZING. I mean, "I suffer you" and "you are my original sin" and Daniel Douglass basically saying that she is just his beard. It was just amazing. Kate Burton did a fantastic job in this episode! I knew she wasn't going to run anymore, but I wasn't expecting her to admit to Leo that she killed her husband. I can't help but wonder what he's going to do with such information, if he'll use it at all. I mean, he's out of a job now so I wonder if he'll threaten to leak it if she doesn't run.
Now that scene between Fitz and Rowan was the best one of the night! Joe Morton killed it and the lines that Fitz got, oh my goodness. I have to say that Rowan was making some sense with what he said about Olivia being Fitz's "door marked exit" and now I'm sitting here questioning Fitz's love for her! This show really knows how to turn the tables on things, doesn't it? And I could go on and on about the simple fact that Rowan was calling Fitz 'boy' and the significance of that word racially. How whites would call Black males 'boy' and then Rowan went on and on about how he's not a boy, he's a man because he worked hard to get where he is. Oh the depth behind one word. I could be wrong but if I'm not, oh my gosh! Just brilliant writing there. And Fitz's presidential balls, I mean did he really think it was okay to mention to Liv's father that he knows how she taste?! Gosh, that made me uncomfortable! And when Olivia came in and the conversation she had with her father; Joe Morton is an amazing actor, that's all I can say. He rocked this episode.
And now Jake is command. What the what?! How on earth? First I want to know how. Then I want to know if Fitz and Jake are co-command or something because Fitz said they would be a great team. And what does this mean for B613? I just have so many questions I hope they get answered.
Quinn, oh Quinn. I was really hoping that I could start to like her again but no. When she went back to OPA I thought she was going to quit and when she didn't I was happy. But Huck had to go and say that she's not a gladiator anymore so she goes crawling back to Charlie (hopefully she picked up some underwear on the way). I just know Olivia is going to be pissed about this. And yes, I am putting some of the blame on Huck. He didn't have to say that to her. Huck, I will always love you but you need to be a little nicer to Quinn; she's fragile.
And mamma Pope is gallivanting through the city with HER white coat and HER gloves! What is she going to do now? Is she going to go find Rowan and, oh I don't know, murder him?! How does she plan to spend her time because I don't feel safe with her running wild. I'd feel better if she was locked up in a cell or something.
What is David Rosen going to do with that recording? Who will he tell first? Abby? James? We shall see.

Way to leave me speechless Scandal. I'm pretty sure this is the first time that's happened. I can't even put into words how I felt about this episode. It was just that good. I'm just a little upset there was no mention of Adnan Salif. (Super crazy theory: mamma Pope is or knows Adnan Salif.) Shout out to all the actors, especially the ones that KILLED IT last night: Joe Morton, Kate Burton and Jeff Perry. You all rock! The first scene, Fit'z and Rowan's scenes, and the Huckleberry Quinn scene were shot beautifully. Shout out to those people! Loved seeing the black and white photos again. Predictions for the second half of the season: more of the campaign trail and I think this whole Sally being a murderer thing will be resolved in the first 10 minutes of the next episode.
This has literally been on crazy ride! I'll be checking in to Scandal Rehab now, so see you February 27th. This time around I'll be sure to have an oxygen tank and a heart monitor to prevent heart attacks and comas. Super sad this is my last review of the year. Have a happy holiday and a happy new year! See you in 2014!

Scandal - YOLO

Well my night was filled with 'I can't deal' and 'what the Huck!' How about yours. I seriously don't know where to begin with this. So much happened in this episode (as if so much doesn't already happen in every episode) so let's just go.
Huck is back to torturing again and this time it'a Quinn, but we all knew that. But, like he said, he's giving her the "friends and family discount" and he's not going to kill her, so it won't be that bad. This is what she gets for being dumb. If she had just calmed down and not been so interested she wouldn't have lost any of her teeth! Did anyone else's mouth hurt after watching this? (My mouth hurts right now) Huck had to leave her all tied up in her apartment to tend to Olivia who is freaking out about her mother.
How Olivia managed to not drop dead when her mom came out of the shadows is beyond me! I know for sure that I would have immediately hit the ground, stone cold dead from a heart attack if I was in that situation. I mean her mother literally came back from the dead and she just hid herself in a room and called Huck! I just can't! Well the team gathers and they bounce from one safe house to the next trying to escape the clutches of Evil Eli. They try hard to get Maya out of the country but Evil Eli tries even harder to keep her in it. Harrison and Abby go back to the office (which is completely ransacked) and some mysterious girl comes out of nowhere. Then she starts mentioning Adidnan Salif and here we go with this again! Remember, this is the mystery man that scares the crap out of Harrison. Well, he made it back in the country. I just wonder when we'll find out the whole story. (Please, oh please let it be next week!)
While all this "dead mamma Pope" stuff is going on, Sally Langston is just about ready to resign as VP and become a Presidential candidate. (Ugh!) But first, she has to sell her soul to the devil. That's right, she put "politics over God" because that was the only way her campaign manager would stay on board. Tells Fitz and he gets pissed and runs to Cyrus.
What's happening with Cyrus you ask. Well, he's trying his hardest not to freak out about James but he is a jealous man and James did not make it easy for him. These two had one of the best scenes and lines of the night! Cyrus is really cracking under all this pressure. I have a feeling Fitz might threaten taking away his job. And it really is a shame because all he had to do was hire a hooker instead of pimping out James and none of this would've happened. Oh and James is about to leave Cyrus and I don't think he'll come back. Well I hope he doesn't come back.
What else? Oh, Jake is the biggest idiot that ever lived! No surprise there. First he goes and gets himself in a little cat fight with Fitz and then he tries to kill Rowan and fails! This dude needs to have SEVERAL seats! Go back to your little Navy job and forget all this ever happened. You lose every time! Get over it because you're really starting to get on my nerves.
Now let's talk about that ending! First, Olivia finds out that her mother was "the monster" all this time. Oh I so didn't want mamma Pope to be bad, but she is and oh how the tables have turned. So OPA and Fitz helped a terrorist leave the country! I wouldn't be surprised if they all ended up in the hole next! And no, I'm not on Rowan's side. Let's not forget he is command of B613 and we STILL don't have the whole story. That's where I thought the episode was over, but it wasn't. Then this whole thing with Quinn goes down. She's actually a double spy now! She went from being my least favorite to my favorite an a matter of seconds! She is playing Charlie and shows up with her trusty needle to do some damage. But then I was like, no she might kill Rowan and we don't want that just yet, so she might not be my favorite anymore. Then I thought it was over again but no. That final scene. Sally Langston calling Cyrus, who's the devil, and confessing she committed a sin while her husband lies dead on the floor. Who saw that coming? Not me! And of all people she calls Cyrus! What is he going to do for her? I guess this means that she won't be running anymore, but we shall see.
Boy oh boy was that a jammed packed hour. But it's not over yet. There's one more episode left! Now here are some more random things I just couldn't deal with in this episode. That Olitz phone call. How chill Maya was at that safe house with Olivia. She was all like I'm alive, let's be friends and eat breakfast and talk about your life! The line "Eli raised you in his image." I mean seriously Scandal writers you are the best. Olivia speaks Chinese/Mandarin now?! Where did that come from?! And last but not least, this song. I mean, it's about a freaking rat for goodness sake!
This episode was AMAZING!! Katie Lowes was fabulous! And now we have to endure the longest week of our lives for the winter finale!

Glee - Previously Unaired Christmas

Pic Credit: http://www.aceshowbiz.com
I hope you all had a wonderful Thanksgiving. About last week's Glee ... I had no words. I mean, Jake's almost crisis and the puppets; I just couldn't deal.

This week it's all about Christmas, Christmas past that it. Apparently this episode was taped last year and never aired, hence the title. This make a ton of sense considering all of the crazy drama that's happening in the future - no, the present. Okay whatever, let's get into it!
So the New Yorkers were being Santa's elves and, after Santa got drunk and passed out, Mrs. Clause. I thought Santana did a hilarious job as Mrs. Claus. I have no filter so I can appreciate her comments. I do have one question: why does Santa always have to be a drunk? I swear in every Christmas thing I watch Santa is too drunk to do his job. Anyways, these kids thought they were getting the sexiest Santa replacement ever but he turned out to just be a thief! No real shocker there. I figured he was either a mooch or a thief when he suggested to go to their place for dinner. And then when he got there he was eyeing the place all weird, I knew he was going to rob them. Luckily (I guess) they were able to get new jobs as live models.
Back at McKinley, Christmas was making Tina and Becky go nuts! The school was having a room decorating contest and Tina did everything in her power to win. They were also having auditions for the live nativity scene since the old got trashed. So all the girls, including Unique, wanted to be the virgin Mary except Kitty. We soon discovered that she wanted the part but, being the most Christian out of everyone, she felt unworthy. I actually felt bad for her because she takes all this stuff seriously, which she should. In order to make her take the part Unique pretended to be Mary and they sang 'Love Child' which was the most unbelievably inappropriate thing I have ever seen. It was just wrong. I mean there was a birth reenactment and Dreamgirls-esque outfits. It was just a hot mess, but it worked. And in the end they gave a great performance. The glee club also won the room decorating contest but gave the prize the Becky once they saw how bummed she was about not winning.
Overall I have to say that it was great. I mean, how can you not like an episode full of Christmas music. It puts you in a good mood. I just thought that since it was supposed to be in the past that we would have seen people that would've been there then, like Brittany, but whatever. This was a very nice last episode of the year. Glee comes back February 25th which is a Tuesday. Yes, the day has changed (again), which means that my post will go up on Wednesdays now. The time changes too, it will come on at 8pm now. I hope you (and I) remember this. Happy holidays and have a happy New Year! Until 2014!!

Glee - Moving Out

Pic Credit: http://www.celebdirtylaundry.com
So in this weeks episode of Glee McKinley is having a career fair to get the kids to start thinking about their futures. I'm so glad they're starting with this earlier but for some it wasn't early enough. I say this because Sam and Blaine went to New York for auditions and interviews and Sam completely failed at his interview. He had no idea why he wanted to go to the school, when asked, and then when it got awkward he start talking about the interviewers race which made it EXTREMELY more awkward! Such an epic fail. Luckily, Rachel helped him admit that he really doesn't want to go to college and dreams of being a male model. So she helps him get some picture for a portfolio and he gets an interview at a modeling agency. So of course, there were shirtless pictures taken and while Rachel was rubbing oil on Sam's chest, for the smallest second, they made eyes at each other! I hope to God that nothing starts between them. That just doesn't need to happen. So Sam has an interview at the Bichette (pronounce it however you'd like) agency and Bichette is none other than Tyra Banks. I still can't get over that, but now that I think of it casting her wasn't a bad idea. She tells him he needs to lose 10 pounds to work for her but that doesn't crush his dreams. So I guess he'll be moving to New York once he graduates. Blaine also had a NYADA audition that he was terrified of, but he killed it in the end. I just wish we could have seen it.
Back at McKinley, Arty makes it his mission to get Becky to apply to college and a first she doesn't want to but he helps her get over her fear. Arty is such a great friend. I don't want Becky to leave, though. She's my favorite!
Now there's still some Marley and Jake drama. Jake is trying to get her back but she doesn't want him. He really needs to just give it up. You tried, it didn't work, move on. Now Ryder is trying to get with her. So who forgot that Ryder was crushing on Marley? ME! At first she declined his date request but he thought it would be okay to sing to her during glee club so I guess she had no choice but to say yes. It was super awkward for everyone else though. So now they're a couple; I guess. And Jake seems oddly fine with it, but I don't think it will end well.
Overall this episode was okay. Bree was barely in it so I was happy about that. All the songs were by Billy Joel which really upset me because I only knew one song (and how I know it is a mystery) so I couldn't really sing along. Hopefully the next episode is full of songs I know so I can sing.

Scandal - Vermont is for Lovers, Too

Pic Credit: http://s.wsj.net
Now this was the episode that everyone was waiting for! It should have been called everyone gets the draws because that's what basically happened. This episode was so good, I don't even know where to start.
So, OPA is trying to find the person who killed the guy that Quinn killed! This girl is in deep doo doo but this is what she gets for being an idiot. She scrambled around to try and cover her tracks, but it didn't work and she just had to sit and wait for Huck to see her face on that security camera! Dumb, dumb Quinn should not have been so interested.
Remember Josie Marcus? You know, the lady running for president. Well, she had a little break in and her computer with important campaign stuff on it was stolen. Her sister/daughter, Candice, accused Reston, on TV, and things start looking bleak until they actually find the computer at his headquarters. But then Abby found out that the whole break in was a set up orchestrated by Candice! I knew that she was going to mess up things! She is no good. Olivia told Josie to fire Candice but instead she took the blame and dropped out of the race!! I guess she really didn't want to be the first lady president! It's nice, though, that she would protect her sister from all that backlash but I really liked her and I wanted her to kick Reston's butt so bad. I hate that man! Oh well. Now Olivia can work for her boy toy.
Speaking of her boy toy, last week we saw him finding out that command is poppa Pope and he's trying to talk to his girl about it, but she won't pick up the dang phone! All those times she tried to walk away from that thing and failed, she chooses now to ignore it. The only reason why she did answer was to tell Fitz to stop calling and then she smashed that thing citron card style. I don't know about you but I loved that part! I don't know why, maybe it's because I like violence, but it was great! But like Jake said, Fitz will always find a way to talk to his girl and that he did. He sent Tom and a helicopter to take Olivia to him. See, Fitz was supposed to be campaigning in New Hampshire, but he took a little detour to Vermont and that's were Olivia met up with him. Now, all of us Olitz fans new that they were there to make jam, but Olivia didn't get it! She starts going off on him about ruining him and all that stuff and all he could talk about was this house, which pissed her off and then finally he told her he bought her the house. And then they had a hot, steamy Olitz scene. Before she left they decided to bring down Rowan at all cost and I hope they succeed, but that probably means Rowan's going to die. And then I got annoyed by Olivia because this girl will never tell Fitz that she loves him. But she did tell him not to sell the house which I'm guessing is like the same thing.
Now let's talk about the Pope parents. Rowan is THE WORST human being on the face of this earth. He locked up his own wife, made her go through great lengths to get out of that dungeon, just for him to ship her off to some place far far away! I should start calling him Evil Eli because that's what he is; EVIL!! And then he showed her those pictures and then she realized that he was a horrible dad. Ugh I just hate him. He must be the MOST hated person on TV right now! But, I was SO happy when she escaped! That was my favorite part. I was just waiting and waiting for it to happen and it did FINALLY!! I'm sure Evil Eli is going to go completely insane because of it! First he tried to send Olivia away and that didn't work, then he tried to send away mamma Pope and that didn't work either! These Pope women don't play and I love it!
I only have one thing to say about Cyrus and Mellie's little plan: it didn't work you dummies!! And this brings me to the last minute of the episode.
In this final minute we see Cyrus, Quinn, and Olivia get the shock of their lives!! Olivia nearly has a heart attack on the street when her mom reveals herself, Huck shows up at Quinn's place with all his torturing equipment, and Cyrus sees pictures of James getting it in with Daniel Douglass, thus equaling the greatest minute on television! And that's how it ends. BRILLIANCE! I feel a little bad for Cyrus, but not really. And what's about to go down with Huck and Quinn! I don't know if I can watch that.
Here's why it should have been called 'everyone gets the draws.' Fitz got the draws. David got the draws. Daniel Douglass got the draws and that was crazy because no one thought that would actually happen! I'm just hoping that since James figured out the whole thing was Cyrus' idea, that it was all fake and he didn't really go through with it. The bigger shocker was that Harrison got the draws, too! He and Candice did the deed. I did not see that coming!! I wonder if we'll be seeing Candice again.
Overall, this was a wonderful episode with epic music that left me very happy which can only mean only thing; the next episode will KILL us!! But at least my heart got a break this week. See you in two weeks and Happy Thanksgiving!

Almost Human - Premiere Episodes

Pic credit: http://www.imdb.com
I know, another crime drama, but this one takes place in the future. It's 2048 and all cops now have to have robots, called MX-43, as their partners. John Kennex (Karl Urban) is an officer and he comes back to the force from an hiatus he took after his last mission ended badly. At first he gets assigned an MX-43 but he doesn't like it, so he goes an gets his own. The one he gets is different from the MX-43s because it actually has feelings and something like a soul, so it's almost human! So John and his android Dorian (Michael Ealy) go off after criminals together.
So I watched the first two episodes and I liked it. I think the pilot episode was pretty good. I really like it when shows start out and make me feel like I was just thrown into all the action. It gives the feel that there's a past with the characters and that they existed before this episode, and this is what this show did. I will say that it didn't have me on the edge of my seat. So far it's just like any other crime drama but it takes place in the future so they have all this new cool technology. I'm a fan of shows that take place in the future so I'll probably keep watching. Hopefully it will get more intense as the season goes on. The fact that this show takes place in 2048 and I'll be alive in 2048 is super weird to me. It's interesting that this is what they think the future will look like. I don't think it's too unbelievable but we'll see when the year 2048 hits.
I really hope that this show is good and doesn't get cancelled. I have watched many shows that were in the future and syfy/fantasy and they're really good and then they get cancelled. And this makes me so made because they are so good and they get cancelled. I just hope that doesn't happen to this show.
So, I will be watching this show every week, but I don't think I will review it each week.

Glee - The End Of Twerk

Pic credit: http://static.hypable.com
I'm not sure I have much to say but we'll see.
So this week's lesson was twerking and they tried (and some failed). It was kind of frightening and I don't want to talk about it anymore. Okay, the only good thing about it was that Will sang 'Blurred Lines' and it was great! I love that song!
So I was a little confused because Jake and Marley were still together when I obviously thought that that relationship was over last week. But, it's over now because Jake totally cheated on her with that girl Bree. I feel like every week I'm like 'this girl Bree' and I call her annoying and she is. "She's a life ruiner. She ruins people's lives!" (Thank you Mean Girls) But seriously, someone needs to get rid of this girl and I'm not saying she should get hit by a bus, but maybe she can get expelled or something. Just send her away for good.
In other news, Unique was going through some issues because of the bathroom. He doesn't feel comfortable using the boys bathroom and causes a ruckus when he uses the girls bathroom. So to fix it, Sue thought it was a good idea to put a porter potty painted purple with question marks on it in the middle of the glee club room! Of course she would think of the most ridiculous thing to do. Luckily Will wouldn't have that happen and unlocked the faculty bathroom for Unique. Seeing this, Sue was willing to give Unique his own key, but only if the club stopped twerking. And thus, the end of twerking! I can breathe a sigh of relief! I have to say that ending scene was a bit too corny for me and, of course, they ended it with an upbeat, encouraging song. Oh and Marley sang 'Wrecking Ball' on a wrecking ball and I just couldn't deal.
In New York, Rachel almost gave me a heart attack by wearing a bob wig! I was seriously hoping that it wasn't real and thank God it wasn't. She talked Kurt into getting a tattoo and at first it was a hot mess but the guy fixed it. And I totally called Rachel getting a tat of Finn's name.
That's all that really happened and overall it was an okay episode. I feel like it's becoming a little predictable. The only thing that saved this episode was Becky and that outburst Will had. Let's just hope next week it gets better. And I want to see more of Kurt's band. I actually like them.

Scandal - Everything's Coming Up Mellie

Pic credit: http://www.rickey.org
Did Scandal rock your world last night? Did Shonda do it or what, I mean pure genius!
A lot of shocking stuff happened so let's get straight to my reaction on it all.

First off those flashbacks! Now you know I love me a good flashback and this week it was all about Mellie. I thought I would be like 'ugh, who cares', but I was actually extremely interested and all I can say after watching is this: way to change my perspective on everything! I was one of the many people who loved to hate Mellie and now I feel super sorry for her. Yes, I had my moments, that lasted all of 2 seconds, where I felt sorry for her but after seeing all of what she's been through, I just want to give her a hug! I also want to just cry my eyes out because the scene between her and Big Jerry was one of the saddest things I've ever seen. He is a heartless bastard who is lower than the scum of the earth! I don't even want to think about him anymore because it just makes me mad! Another thing that amazed me in the flashbacks is how much Fitz's and Olivia's lives are the same. Their father's basically control their lives, and I feel like they need each other just to cope with that. I really want to see more flashbacks with Mellie and Fitz, especially the point when their marriage went south. I want to know what caused that. And I want to know if Mellie ever told Fitz about what his father did to her.
Now to present day with these two. Fitz actually did something nice for Mellie. He came through for her when she needed him and that made me love him even more. Yes, I'm an Olitz fan but that interview shows that he has the biggest heart! And sure, he shot down a plane that killed hundreds of people but you can tell it haunts him everyday and he feels super bad about it.
Can we all give a round of applause to Quinn for winning the biggest idiot award! She just crossed over to the dark side and there is absolutely no turning back! She's now in B613, and I should have saw this coming because Charlie was the guy who went out with Huck when they recruited him, but it still shocked me. One thing I didn't think I'd be is mad at Huck. Sure, he tried to stop Quinn from being interested, but if he didn't completely shut her out maybe she wouldn't of went all crazy and bought a gun, and then she would have never ran into Charlie. Now the worst thing that could ever happen to her happened. I just wonder if she'll ever spend time in that hole. She likes the thrill of torturing and killing; it's like she wears it like a badge of honor. My one question for Rowan is this: is it really smart to put Quinn in B613? I feel like she will just tell everybody about it and Liv will find her a way out, even though there really is no way out, but still.
And now on to what was probably the least shocking moment of the entire episode; Liv's mom lives (GASP). We all knew, or were at least hoping and praying that this was true and it is so we can all rejoice. But, with all the digging that Olivia did, it wasn't through her but through Rowan that we found out mama Pope lives. He basically locked her away in a super secret jail cell. But why? Why did he fake her death? What is the point in all of this?! And we have to wait until next week to see Olivia's reaction to it all and that's only if they show us all of it in the next episode; which I'm thinking, no!
Some other little things. Cyrus had a beard (hilariously ridiculous)! Is Jake working with OPA now for good or is this going to turn into a David Rosen type situation? Where is David Rosen, by the way? Way to go Abby with the hug. Olivia surely needed it because she was about to completely breakdown. Olivia can NOT resist the Fitz phone and it is hilarious to me! Digging it out of the trashcan and running back in side to just to answer it! HA! I love it! Oh, and Daniel Douglass likes dudes, and Mellie and Cyrus  are about to drop that bomb on everyone!
This show just keeps getting better and better! Can't wait for next week! (But my heart can!)

Glee - A Katy or a Gaga

Pic Credit: http://www.mjsbigblog.com
Glee is back after, what seemed to be, a forever and a day hiatus. This week they are tackling Lady Gaga (again) and Katy Perry (again).
The kids at McKinley are freaking out because of some group they have to compete against in nationals. Apparently they are crazy good and the New Directions have no chance of winning with them in the competition. Tina refers to them as a bunch of Gaga's and to the New Directions as a bunch of Katy's and thus Katy vs. Gaga week. All of the kids that see themselves as Gaga have to sing a Katy song and vice versa.
Sam tries to win the heart of that nurse and thinks that the groups Gaga performance will do it but it did the complete opposite. First off, the nurse is actually a Katy lover and her hardcore exterior is just a front and second, Marley did not feel comfortable dressing up in a bikini so she came out on stage dressed as Katy Perry, which completely defeated the purpose and got her suspended from the glee club. This girl Marley is a little too rainbows and unicorns for me. I mean, does she poop flowers or something?! But, it all worked out for Sam in the end because he and the nurse were able to ditch there fake hardcore fronts and now they're an item and shows up at the clubs group performances now. This make me wonder if she's becoming the new Emma.
Marley and Jake's lala land has quickly come to an end. Jake's trying really hard to get to 2nd base but she just won't let him. There must be something wrong with Marley. There's something she's not telling us. She went all in on Jake about not wanting to be pressured into doing something she doesn't want to do, but the pressure isn't there. This dude has been nothing but a gentleman to her and he doesn't get what the problem is. Now I'm not saying she's wrong for not wanting to do the deed with him but she's got to have a better reason other than what she's been saying. So since she won't do anything with him she suggests that he go do it with someone else. So Jake goes and finds Bree (that really annoying girl Sue is using to destroy the glee club) to do the deed with. So it's the end of Jake and Marley. We all knew that wouldn't last very long.
At the end of the week Will gives an empowering speech to boost the moral of the club and tie everything together and then Sue walks in and suspends them all! She says they violated the dress code with their costumes (if this is true Bree should have been the first one suspended) but we all know that she's just trying to kill the glee club.
Over in New York, Kurt is trying to start a band. Things were looking bleak until some kid who calls himself Star Child (Adam Lambert) comes in a rocks the house. I could not get with that name Star Child but his real name is Elliot, so Star Child it is. Kurt didn't want him in the group at first but he obviously came to his senses. Santana and her girl are also in the band and they tried the whole episode to get Rachel in but she kept throwing out excuse after excuse. By the end she gave in and the all sang 'Roar' and swung from a random rope in the middle of their apartment.
Overall this was an okay episode. There wasn't anything too amazing in this episode. I'm glad Becky is back though; she is my favorite. I'm starting to want more New York and less McKinley. Sorry McKinley lovers, that's just how I feel. Next week is there twerking episode and all I can say is oh my dear lord! And they're singing Blurred Lines which is my song and I'm praying they don't mess that up. Hopefully nest week is better, but we shall see.

Scandal - Icarus

So this episode started off with a flashback of the day Olivia saw her mother for the last time, which means that they are diving right into the whole Fitz killed her mother thing. So let's get into it.
After Jake and Huck (Juck? Jack? Are we shipping them?) told her everything they knew, Olivia decided to get some answers of her own by heading straight to the white house to ask Fitz. When Mellie finds this out she gets all excited because she thinks this is Liv coming to say that she's going to work as their campaign manager again, but she's wrong. When Liv asks Fitz about Operation Remington he tells her he has no idea what she's talking about and she says she's not going to work for him and goes back to the office to start working for Josie. She then tells Jake to keep digging up dirt about Remington because she's not totally convinced that what he said happened actually happened. Sticking with the campaign, for now, Liv and Abby go off to help Josie get some rich supporters so she can get some money. At first they fail but then Olivia decides that Josie needs to do an interview. Before the interview they show her a Reston attack ad (a fake one) and this gets her all angry and she goes off; calling Reston a sexist and everything. I loved it! I would vote for her just from that rant. But, her sister/daughter didn't like it so much. She wanted to stop it halfway through but Abby and Liv wouldn't let that happen. In the end, Josie got the support, and money, she needed, but her sister/daughter still has a problem with OPA. I only see bad things coming from this. She'll probably try and ruin the whole thing and Olivia will end up not working for her anymore.
Sally is also working on her campaign strategy and she's keeping it all on the down low. Her campaign manager comes up with this grand idea, and Sally and her husband end up having dinner with Fitz and Mellie where Sally's husband gets all flirty with Mellie. Cyrus, finally, finds out that Sally plans on running against Fitz. I'm so glad this happened because I was beginning to wonder how in the world they weren't able to figure this whole thing out. But he found out and he goes running to Mellie about it and they decide to use Sally's husband against her. And that's it with all the campaign stuff in this episode.
Back to Operation Remington. Jake is sneaking around trying to come up with more information and meets with some random woman he knows, because she has clearances to information he needs. It looked like we were going to get some more answers but Fitz had to tell Cyrus that Olivia knows about Remington and then Cryus had to go tell Poppa Pope and that means bye bye Jake. So Jake goes to meet this girl again and there's this man following him who ends up killing the girl! This turns out to be a good thing because the girl was just going to kill Jake. So, if this girl was going to kill Jake that must mean that she works for Rowan! How many people does he control?! As for the man that was following Jake, he was working for Fitz and Jake goes to the white house to question him. Fitz still uses the line of not knowing anything and that's it.
Then we see Olivia, mostly likely drunk, watching the old news footage of the plane crash which leads us in to another flashback of her father watching the same footage. Flashback Rowan looked completely ridiculous. He didn't look like Byron (my A Different World friends would get this) and I'm pretty sure that mustache had everything to do with it. But anyways back to present time, Olivia calls her dad in search of answers and he only allows her to ask one question. She asks if he ordered that plane to get hit and he says no. I think he's a liar. I don't believe anything he says and Olivia shouldn't either. He lied to her once before who's to say he wouldn't do it again?! And did anyone else notice that he never answered the question of whether he loved Mamma Pope?
In the end Fitz shows up at Olivia's house trying to get her back (just begging) and she won't let it happen. She finally tells him that her mother was on that plane and it's a huge 'oh crap' to him and then she kicks him out and when he leaves he looks like he's going got break down and cry. He obviously didn't know and now he's probably lost her for good. After this all I could think of is why. Why in the world was that plane shot down? There has to be a reason, like someone was on that plane that had to die and that was the only way they could do it. There is no way someone would order a plane to get shot down for no reason. Unless the wrong plane got shot down and that's why they went through such great lengths to cover it up. My only other theory is that Mamma Pope found out Rowan was command, as going to tell Olivia about it and this was the only way he could stop her. She's probably alive an well in an underground bunker somewhere.
Two other little, but big, things happened as well. Something is going on with Harrison. For some reason it's not in Rowan's big plan that Olivia work for Josie. So he goes to Cyrus to handle this. Cyrus goes to Harrison and threatens him to get him to change Olivia's mind. He uses some criminal who trying to get back in the US as bait. I don't know who this guy is or what he did but if he's in the US Harrison is dead for sure, and I know we all don't want that to happen. So Harrison is doing anything he can to stop it. Hopefully they'll give us some flashbacks into this because I'm lost. I wonder if Olivia knows about it?
Also Quinn has gone gun crazy and is practicing at a gun range but she stinks. Of all people, Charlie shows up to give her some pointers and she ends up going back for more help. This isn't good because Charlie works for Rowan and this is all part of a big secret plan. My guess is that Rowan wants Quinn in B613 which is bad news. I would like to know how all these people haven't slapped Quinn yet?! First off, she's super nosey and she keeps making all these crazy comments like mentioning Liv's affair and calling Huck messed up. I mean, these must have a great deal of self-control with her. If it were me, she'd be quiet in a corner thinking about her actions.
So all that stuff happened in this episode and we still don't know if Fitz really killed Liv's mom or not. I'm pretty sure this was just the very tip of the iceberg that we are all about to crash in to like the Titanic, which means we'll probably drown in craziness.

Scandal - More Cattle, Less Bull

gif credit: http://www.awesomelyluvvie.com
This is the bing, bang, boom episode that made my blood pressure go off the charts! So much happened so let's just dive in.
So Olivia's newest client is congresswoman Josie Marcus and we think she needs Olivia to be her campaign manager, but that's not it. Josie wants her to help keep this whole baby thing under wraps. So the team heads to Montana to persuade the few people that know about it to keep their mouths shut. While there Olivia discovers that Cyrus also has his little helper, Ethan, there trying to get the same people to tell all they know. He almost succeeds but Huck comes to the rescue. Speaking of Huck, he and Jake are still super buddy buddy and are still trying to bring down poppa Pope. They even go as far as breaking into his house (during Sunday dinner) to steal information. Jake almost got himself caught, too, but that time he didn't. Huck goes through the stolen info and we finally see what Fitz and Rowan were talking about and learn that Rowan knows that someone is trying to figure out what Remington was. So, Rowan is on to them. This is when Jake almost got caught again and we all thought that Rowan was going to throw him back into that hole but it was Fitz that wanted him this time. They play a little friendly game of basketball and then they have a little conversation but neither of them know what/who the other is talking about. Fitz thinks it's about Olivia (no duh) when Jake's actually talking about Remington. With all this Remington and Fitz and Rowan talk, Fitz decides that he wants B613 eliminated! He asks Cyrus how it can be done and Cyrus nearly has another heart attack. Basically, if they try the slightest bit, Fitz will be assassinated, again, and he'll actually die this time. So it's best that he just forgets about it and I think he does but I'm not sure how long that'll last.
Back to the campaign stuff, the associates do some digging and find out that Josie's baby was taken care of by family! This means that the girl Candice that we all thought was Josie's sister is actually her daughter!! Oh snap! Twist number one of the night. I knew it but I figured it out right when the associates were so I guess I didn't really predict it. Olivia wanted her to tell the truth but Josie didn't want to but in the end the truth always comes out and it only worked to her advantage. And as for Cyrus and his peeps at the white house, they are pissed!! Olivia's not too happy either because Josie didn't want to tell the truth and fired (yes I said that right, fired) Olivia because of it.
So it's almost time for the correspondence dinner and Olivia is all messed up, drinking wine and throwing the Fitz phone in the trash, but then it rings and, no surprise to me, she goes digging in the trash for that thing. They have this conversation that just makes all my feels go crazy and I just loved it!! It was just perfect. And Mellie ends up eavesdropping on the whole thing and that's when I start to feel bad for her. I thought this would be the time she shed a tear but she doesn't and I guess it's because she knows it was necessary.
It's time for the correspondence dinner and finally time for us to see Olivia at her fiercest! I had been waiting all week for this dress. I just loved it so much, but it makes me feel bad because I don't have anything nearly as fabulous in my wardrobe so let's not talk about it anymore. So, Olivia asked Jake to be her date but she only went so she could see Fitz and Fitz seemed like he was pissed that he saw them there together. Then Tom makes an appearance and we think that we're about to get a steamy Olitz scene but, to my surprise, Mellie comes out! Now this completely took me off guard, so much that I legit screamed when Mellie came out. And after watching it again, it was kind of funny because Olivia was extra hype when she was strutting down that hallway, thinking she was about to see her man, and then Mellie pops out! She must have felt super salty!! Then Mellie says "I like your new boyfriend. Is he married?" which was the funniest thing ever!! But then she started to beg for Olivia's help on the campaign and admit that her husband is in love with her and can't win without her. So sad to just see her begging like that. But, I'm pretty sure she was doing it just to better her own political career.
Something else that happened at the dinner was Sally Langston saying that she may run for president as an independent! It wasn't a huge announcement or anything, she just mentioned it to a potential campaign manager in the men's bathroom but it's still a bid deal. If she runs, who will be Fitz's running mate? Cyrus maybe? The campaign is getting crazier by the minute!
After the dinner, Jake's all mad because he knows Olivia used him and goes home alone (yay!). When he gets there Huck is just waiting in the shadows to drop the Remington bomb. We finally get to know what Operation Remington is and I was happy. But, once the words "plane crash" were said out of Huck's mouth, I figured it out. So apparently Fitz was ordered to shoot down the plane that Olivia's mother was on when she died. So Fitz killed her mother. Now I'm thinking how old are Jake and Fitz supposed to be because they were enlisted at the same time and Olivia was 12 when her mom died. So they have to be at most 10 years older than her which is super weird. But, like Huck said, it's a conspiracy and I'm pretty sure the only person who really knows the real truth is Rowan. And that was the huge shocker of the night and when they went to her door to tell her I just wanted to cry.
I have to add that during the Montana mission, Harrison grounded Quinn because she went all crazy with that drill. So, she took it upon herself to buy a gun and now she's one step closer to the darkness that Huck has tried so hard to keep her out of. And another huge thing is that Josie wants Olivia back but Olivia doesn't want that to happen and Harrison is not at all happy about it. Now Olivia has to decide which candidate she wants to work for. Didn't I say it was getting crazy?!
This was the best episode this season! And I'm so happy that at the end of the episode we didn't hear "in three weeks" because I surely can't take the wait. Next week can't come soon enough and I have NO IDEA what's going to happen next. I have to keep giving it up to Shonda and those writers for bringing it EVERY week! This show just keeps getting better and better every week and I love. I just hope I don't have a heart attack because of it.

Scandal - Say Hello To My Little Friend

Pic credit: http://tvafterdarkonline.com
Can we all just take a minute to appreciate the hilariousness of this title. Okay.

So, OPA is living the struggle life at the moment. They're having trouble finding clients and it seems like they have to seek them out instead of people seeking them out. Lucky for them they got a yes and they got a new client. Yay for that because we got to see some of Harrison's dance moves (anyone else thinking of Boys in Motion??). So a senator that has a problem sexting girls becomes their new client when one of those girls ends up dead and he is, obviously, the main suspect. This dude is just one huge web of lies! He never told the truth, except when he got caught. Everyone started to believe that he was a murderer, except Olivia, and they needed the money so they kept him as a client. And it took Olivia's gut to discover who really killed the girl; his wife. This whole story reminded me of  All Roads Lead To Fitz and Top Of The Hour; all the lies.
Back at the White House, Mellie gets herself into some serious trouble when she can't keep her mouth shut about a congresswoman who has plans to run against Fitz in the next election. She forgets that "the microphone is always loaded" and says some rude comments about the congresswoman. This puts Cyrus in a tizzy and goes nuts trying to get her to fix it. During all this Fitz is more concerned about the man that Huck killed in the last episode and Operation Remington starts to become clearer and clearer. Fitz is all upset about his death and has Tom do some digging about his life and when he finds out that this guy is just going to be thrown in a pine box, he arranges for a real military funeral and shows up for it. (Along with Huck which was sad) When Cyrus finds out he gets all upset about it, too and has a little meeting with poppa Pope about it. I'm guessing Cyrus isn't even going to try to not have another heart attack. Cyrus gets Fitz to leave the past in the past which pissed me off. How else are we going to find out about Remington?! Which brings me to Huck and Jake.
These two are starting to have secret meetings about the hole and command and all that. Jake is making it his mission to bring poppa Pope down. He spies on Rowan's conversation with Cyrus and does his own digging on the guy Huck killed. He tries really hard to get Olivia on board with all this and at first it doesn't work, but it takes Huck to get her to listen. Here's what they found out: Remington has something to do with a flight mission that Fitz was the pilot for, but the guy that Huck killed made it seem like he was the pilot and not Fitz. This makes me think that something went completely wrong! Why else would they try to make it seem like it wasn't Fitz? Whatever it was, if people find out about it Fitz most likely wouldn't get elected again. If Fitz really doesn't want to be president he should leak what happened, but it might make Olivia not want him anymore. But, he did kill Verna so who knows. I just really want to know the whole story of Remington but we probably won't find out until the episode before they go on a winter hiatus. Why can't they just tell us?! I hate not knowing things!!
I'm going to take this moment to talk about Jake. Jake is like glitter; you can never get rid of him, and when you think he's gone, he's not! Olivia kicked him out her house for goodness sake and he's still there in the end. And why did he have to go and tell her that he would never leave her. You don't say that to people with abandonment issues!! Those were like golden words to her, so of course she starts making out with him (ugh!). And they almost did the deed too if it wasn't for Fitz calling, but Jake ruined that too. He knows good and well didn't need more wine because he just topped her off! Boy does he got an agenda!! This guy. I'm sorry to all the Jake lovers out there. It's just that every time I see his I think of his spy wall. I can't get over that.
Speaking of spies, Quinn nosiness finally got her in trouble. She took it a little to far by following Huck around and he was not having it. He's really concerned about her though. She wants to be like him and he ain't having that and he let her know, too. She really needs to take a moment and think about her intentions before she finds herself huddles up in a corner rocking back and forth chanting something about her past life.
Overall I liked this episode. Ish is getting real with this Remington stuff and it's going to hit the fan when it all comes out in the open. Let's talk about the little things I liked. First, my favorite scene were the one when Huck confronted Quinn and the first scene between Cyrus and James (lol). Cobra, Abby's "pervy perv" line and that moment when Fitz defended Mellie. Yes, I was taken aback when he defended her but the part I want to focus on was when he grabbed her hand. She stood there and soaked that up and then she came to her senses and yanked away. Everything she said in those 10 seconds, oh my gosh! That is great acting. Dabby is back on! Also in the last scene we got curl action, a Fitz strut, and the meeting I was waiting between Fitz and poppa Pope! I'm mad that were it ended though! I hope we get to see what that meeting was. I really wonder if Fitz knows if that Rowan is poppa Pope. They told us they already knew each other I just want to know how.
As for next week, there will be some serious fierceness by Olivia Pope and I CAN NOT WAIT!!

Scandal - Mrs. Smith Goes To Washington

Pic credit: http://tvafterdarkonline.com/
Okay, so first I have to say that I have WAY too many distractions while watching this show. I love Twitter but it is one of them! I have to watch this show twice and every time I watch it a 2nd time I notice all these things I missed the first time!! I just had to get that off my chest. (I'm still going to tweet though).
Now on to this episode. So we all knew that Olivia wouldn't die but there were still so many things to watch so we did. So OPA is hanging on by a thread and taking any new clients they can find. So this woman comes in and she ends being the bomber. My first question would be, if she was planning on blowing herself to bits why in the world did she hire Olivia?? I don't know and I don't get it. I feel like she should have done one or the other but not both. When the associates figure out that something fishy is going on Olivia goes after her and that's how she gets in the room with the bomb. So the one thing I learned from this is that Olivia is an idiot with a death wish! This chick sees people running AWAY from a room and what does she do, goes right into that room! I felt like I was watching a horror movie and you know us African Americans die early in those things!! So what does Olivia do, she tries to handle the situation. If it were me I would've hopped out the window, said 'oops, wrong room' and left or something to get me out of there! But unlike Olivia, I DON"T have a death with. Let me tell you, this girl had a way out! They were going to shoot this suicide bomber and what does she do, she puts her self in between the shooter and the bomber. I've realized that Olivia does not value her life. She did too many things in this episode that showed me this. So her team is on the war path trying to find this file and Abby ends up in David Rosen's office, and let's talk about David Rosen for a minute. This dude is "like totally' annoying. He was just going to let Olivia die! I guess he forgot about the time she had him shacking up in her office when he thought a killer was after him. But he still came through because he knows he's obsessed with justice and finding out the truth. So everyone finds out the truth about the suicide bomber's son but her. Olivia had to lie to her to save the lives of 57 people. It looked like everyone was going to come out of this alive but in the last second the woman run back in the room and blows herself up. I honestly wasn't expecting her to do that but I'm not surprised that she did it. And what does Olivia do when the bomber runs into the room, she tries to go after her! But she gets pulled away in time and things seem kind of well with her until Quinn, nosey behind Quin comes and tells her some interesting info about Huck.
While all this stuff was happening, Huck was stalking poppa Pope and trying to kill him. Last thing we see is Huck holding a gun to his head. Olivia confront him about the whole thing and begs for him to tell her if he killed her father. Be didn't do it. Am I the only one who secretly wished Huck said yes just to see what happened? I'm pretty sure the country would burn to the ground because poppa Pope is apparently in control of the whole thing. Instead of killing Rowan, Huck killed some guy who's connected to Operation Remington. So Huck is crying to Olivia about how Rowan still has control over his and he FINALLY gets a hug!!
Olivia then goes home to Jake (who by the way was naked in her bed in the beginning of the episode) and he just as annoying as usual. They argue about how he got out that hole (too soon if you ask me) and neither of them know, but it's not going to be good because Rowan still has control over him because Rowan has control over everyone.
Fitz and Mellie have a little scene together where Mellie is completely drunk! She basically tells him that Olivia will never be free from her as long as she's alive and she can use her to control Fitz. Mellie really is an evil little thing.
My questions: Does Olivia value her life? How in the world did Jake know Rowan was poppa Pope? And what/who scars poppa Pope because he doesn't seem to be afraid of anything. Hopefully he gets scared this season. Who knows what Operation Remington is? I mean, do the writers even know? And it better be crazy insane or I'm going to be pissed off. This this better be the most disturbingly awful thin that anyone could think of. And that's as close to guessing as I'll get. No specifics for me, I'm never right anyways. And they weren't lying when they said this season would be "dark."
Some positives about the episode (I really have nothing negative to say) "SHUT.UP." Mellie acting drunk was wonderful. I really hate when people act drunk because it's just so unbelievable and ridiculous but Bellamy Young did a great job with this. Gave me hope that people can act drunk and not be so over the top. And keep the black and white photos/video coming because I LOVE it!
Until next week, which looks like could bring in some laughs.

TV Watching Update

I thought I'd give a little update on how my TV watching is going.
First off if you haven't watched my review, I've stopped watching Hostages. It just didn't work out for me. I am watching The Blacklist instead. I was hooked after the first episode. It's a nice twist to the classic crime drama. I did think it would be like Silence of the Lambs since it's about a criminal helping the police and he will only talk to one girl but it goes deeper than that.
I'm also watching Sleepy Hollow which was unplanned. I checked it out when it premiered and liked it and now I can't stop watching. I can't watch it at night, though, because it scares me and will probably give me nightmares.
Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. is doing pretty well considering it's been picked up for a full season. So we'll be seeing a lot more of Agent Coulson. Hopefully it'll get a lot more intense because so far it's been the same type of thing over and over and that can get old and underwhelming really fast.
Lastly in the TV world, I've decided to do weekly reviews on Scandal. I had been debating on whether I would do this ever since last season and gave it a try last week and will keep doing it every week.

Also, I'm going to start posting a movie review at least once a week so be on the look out for that. They will be a mix of old and new movies.

That's all for now. If you think I should give weekly reviews on a show let me know and I'll give it a try. remember to follow me on twitter @KiaCherise because I tweet during all my shows.

Scandal - Guess Who's Coming To Dinner

Pic cred: http://awesomeamerica.com
I don't know why I'm doing this. I guess I thought it would be fun but we'll have to see about that. Just a heads up, this will mostly likely be an unorganized rant about last night, so I'm sorry if it jumps around a bit.
So I was overly ecstatic about the fact that there were flashbacks about Olivia's life!! I have been waiting for this for forever. Every time I thought we would get a snippet into her life and we didn't, I was pissed of, so I was really excited about last night. Their relationship is one HOT MESS!!! It seems like he wants to make her happy, but that comes with a price. Get Huck back, but almost kill Eddison. But she only agreed to marry him because of his job and what it would mean to her dad. And that makes me think that she didn't really want to marry him and her 'I love you' was very unconvincing. And OH MY GOODNESS see Liv take her first sip of REAL wine was like seeing a baby take their first steps!! Okay I think I'm done with the flashbacks. Oh wait, Olivia is NOSEY!!! There Now I'm done.
What else did I go crazy over last night?? Oh, the presidential sized balls!! I LOVE this Fitz, taking control and everything, letting Cyrus know that he is the commander is chief and has all the power!! It's a nice change from last season where he just sulked in the background and let everyone else make decisions for him. Oh and Mellie, Mellie is evil! Mellie will do whatever she can to keep her political career in tact. She only cares about that. I mean, sure, she fell in love with Fitz after they got married but I think she loves her career more.
And Tom. Tom is such the perfect little messenger boy. And can we just take a moment to remember that Vermont conversation. I mean there was jam and 4 kids, oh my heart just melted.
And that Quinn is hilarious!! I love it. I mean, she's crazy but it's funny. And all that that went down with Liv and Huck was crazy!! I did NOT see all that coming!! And Jake's back. (BOO) And he said 'hi' to her!! I just don't know how I feel about that!!
There's so much more little things that I could mention too. Like when Daddy Pope was talking about fossils, in the flashback, and he was talking about the cousins and how one gets all the glory and the other does all the dirty work. It was something like that but I freaked out when I heard it because it reminded me of their relationship. Another thing is that I still believe her mother isn't dead. Something is just so shady about Rowan/Eli. Like why does he have two names?!! And what the heck is in that dang folder?! What happened? I will not rest until I know!! And Fitz said Jake is known for saving people's lives which makes me wonder if Fitz almost died on that little mission and Jake saved him.
And oh my gosh next week is going to be INSANE!!! Olivia is going to be in danger and I bet you Fitz will save her. He better because she has a soft spot for people that save her life. I just love this show so much, but I'm pretty sure I'm going to have some kind of heart attack or emotional break down or go into a coma or something. I'm not exactly sure how much of this I can handle. My heart is not prepared for this. This show just keeps getting better and better and this is a good thing. I just think my feels with LITERALLY explode!
Well, this was fun. I guess I'll keep doing it. Have fun with your recovery and prep for next week.

Glee - Tina in the Sky With Diamonds

Pic cred.: http://www.hotdog.hu
So Glee is back with another episode of the Beatles, and it's prom. Now I have to say this first. Having two episodes of Beatles music would have been fine if it wasn't back-to-back. Not even half way through the episode I was like, okay, I need other music now. Like I said last week, I need variety.
Not that much happened in this episode. Tina got nominated for prom queen, along with Kitty, and went nuts. She turned down Sam's offer to be her date to make her chances of winning better. Kitty even agreed to vote for Tina but, this girl Bree. Bree is some random Cheerio that came out of NOWHERE who basically berated Kitty into really running for prom queen so a Cheerio could win because Cheerios never win. Kitty actually got mad over this and didn't run and tore down all these posters that Bree put up. This pissed Bree off and she decided to pull a Carrie on Tina. That right, she had Tina's assistant drop a bucket of slushee on her head right after she won. But, of course, the glee club was there to run to Tina's rescue, literally clean her up and give her a pep talk to get back out there and accept the crown. She did it, in Kitty's dress! See, Kitty figured it all out right before it happened and I guess she felt bad for not running to Tina's rescue and taking the slushee for her. That made me a little mad. I was hoping she would've done that instead.
In other news, Sam is super depressed about his love live and ends up crushing over this half of a nurse that Sue hired to vaccinate the school. I said she's half of a nurse because she's not even in nursing school and really doesn't know what she's doing. Sue actually fired her but Sam changed her mind. I'm guessing that's going to be his new girl now? Or at least he's going to try.
In New York, Rachel is all kinds of upset over that fact that she hasn't heard anything back from Funny Girl. Kurt (who works at the diner now) is there to cheer her up and that gives her the determination to audition for anything and everything. But she doesn't really have to do that because in the end Rachel gets the part. Yay! I knew it.
Also, Santana booked a commercial for some yeast infection medicine and it was kind of hilarious! She is also crushing over her coworker, Dani (Demi Lovato) and they end up getting together. I didn't know how to feel about the adding of Demi to the cast but now I don't think it was a bad idea.

That's really all that happened this week. Not too much. It was a bit lackluster and I'm disappointed about it. A couple side notes. I had been waiting for a Smash reference and it finally happened. Coach Roz and Sue are becoming my favorite characters. The both of them are hilarious. Oh and I am NOT even the slightest emotionally ready for next week. Not even sure if I'll review it but I might have a few words so be on the look out.

Glee - Love, Love, Love

Pic cred: http://static.tvfanatic.com
Glee is finally back and it's back with a 2 part Beatles special. I have mixed feelings about this. I mean, yay Glee's back but did they have to sing all Beatles. I love me song oldies music but I need variety. I guess I'm upset because I couldn't sing along to any of the songs. Honestly, I know like 2 Beatles songs and I tries to listen to their music to prep, but it didn't happen.
But, on the the stuff that happened in the episode, Rachel went in for her Funny Girl callback and it didn't go as she planned. It didn't help that she went and eavesdropped on what I think was the director and the guy she auditioned with. They didn't say super nice things. It wasn't awful, they just think she's too inexperienced. In other news, Santana got Rachel a job at the diner where she works. I'm happy they finally have jobs because it makes it more realistic. I mean, were their parents really paying for school tuition and an apartment in New York?! That stuff ain't cheap. That's all that happened in New York.
At McKinley, Sue Sylvester is back and she's principal! She basically was asked to come back once Becky admitted to bringing the gun to school, but she wouldn't come back unless she had a bigger title than before. So, she planted incriminating evidence in Figgins office, thus getting him fired and she is now the interim principal. Of course Will is super pissed about it because he's always pissed around Sue and needs to take a chill pill. So, he and Coach Roz (yay Nene's back, too) are in Sue's office thinking that they're about to lose their jobs. The both of them get played because all Sue wants them to do is get the New Directions and Cheerios to win national championships. Sue's actually on their side! She want to officially be principal and the only way to do that is to have the clubs succeed. So I guess we'll be seeing a lot of Sue's nice side when it comes to the New Directions.
The glee clubbers take themselves to a carnival and love is in the air! Artie and Kitty are all cutsie, flirty with each other and even start going out on the down low, but Tina shuts that down real quick! Tina is not blind and can totally tell that have something going on and she confronts Artie about it, but he tells her to butt out. She couldn't do that and spills the beans in front of the whole glee club. At this point  I didn't know if Tina was jealous or bitter when she tried to sabotage Kitty but it didn't work. Kitty apologizes to Artie and they make their relationship really official, but we saw that coming a mile away. Later we find out that Tina is the only member of the "too young to be bitter" club and the boys of glee club try and cheer her up with a song, of course, and letting her choose which on she can take to prom. She chooses Sam and I guess all her bitterness is gone.
In other couple news, Blaine and Kurt get back together and Blaine announces to everyone that he's going to propose! Blaine obviously hasn't learned much from the other people in high school that got engaged at that age. With the help of the New Directions, along with Vocal Adrenalin, The Warblers, and that deaf school's glee club he proposes with the song 'All You Need Is Love.' I loved it. I didn't get why the other glee clubs (except for the Warblers) had to help but it was great. And yes, I would definitely want to be proposed to that way. Kurt's answer was a mystery to me because he was talking about it with his dad on the way there (because he somehow figured it out) and didn't even know what to say! But in the end he said yes and I guess we just have to wait and see what happens. If they end up getting married, cool, but I wouldn't be surprised if there were some bumps along the way.
That was all the main things that happened in this episode. Now on to my little side notes.
I really wonder what Blaine's parents have to say about this proposal. Have we even seen his parents??
Figgins is one of my favorite characters. I just realized that last night.
Who chuckled when Kitty called Artie Arthur?
Well, that's all I have. Next week is more Beatles so I think I'll go brush up on the music so I can sing along.

Emmy's Rant

I was going to write a nice little review of the Emmy's but because I failed to watch the whole show (for reasons I'll explain later), I decided to go on a rant about award shows in general and why they make me angry.

First off, the host. Now I have nothing against Neil Patrick Harris, but everyone knows that hosting an awards show is not an easy task. You have to be able to keep not only the audience there, but the audience at home entertained for close to 4 hours! That's tough. I propose that they get rid of hosts all together. Their only real purpose is to open/end the show and introduce the presenters and performers. What I think should happen is you get really hilarious comedians to open and close the show and I'm not talking about actors on really funny comedies. I mean people who are comedians for a living and that's it. They may dabble in other things but they have to be hard core comedians. For example, Ellen (which, so far, is the only reason I'm watching the Oscar's this year), Kevin Hart, Eddie Murphy, and Gary Owen. People whose purpose is to make us laugh. Then you can get some voice over announcer to do all the other stuff.
The other thing that really makes me mad is the lack of non-whites nominated/winners. (I have nothing against everyone else I'm just pointing out an obvious problem that gets talked about a lot.) Unless you're watch a specialized award show like the NAACP Awards or the ALMA Awards, you're not going to see many people of color nominated, or even in the audience for that matter! That is a problem. And yes, you have to have a really great TV show/movie to even be considered for an award. So this is the question I have to ask: Where are the folks that are willing to make these movies and TV shows with great non-white actors?! It's just really frustrating and especially when there is a plethora of people from the same show nominated in the same category. That really makes me mad. It's like an unfair advantage. To my knowledge there was only about 3 Black people nominated and NONE of them won and that just stinks!!

So I'm done. Award shows are really fun to tweet about and since I love to tweet I will continue to watch and talk about all the things that I like and don't like.
