Oh my goodness did this episode escalate very quickly! My heart was seriously going to pop out of my chest throughout the entire second half. Toby was just doing a nice gesture and it turned into a disaster! So, Toby lied to get Lana (the baby mamma) to come over for dinner. At first, it was just going to be them and his parents but them Bay got the idea to go and tell her all of the horrible things about Angelo. So while this SUPER awkward dinner is taking place a surprise visit from immigration disrupts it and this is when the disaster happens. This guy comes over to check up on Regina and Angelo to make sure they are living together. The Kennish's use sign language (hilarious) to spread the news so Daphne can get rid of all of Regina's stuff. Luckily Travis, of all people, was there to help Daphne. And he ends up saving the day because they really almost got caught, but Travis acted like he lived there and was shirtless so it was all good. But just when you thought it was all okay Lana comes out of no where and has no other choice but to tell the truth about her relationship with Angelo. Then Regina says that she's going to explain all of it to the immigration guy PRIVATELY!! At this point I was going crazy because if she told him everything then she and Angelo would go to jail and that's nuts. But Regina lied and they didn't go to jail.
So, just when you think everything was okay, it isn't. Regina has reunited with some guy that used to like her and still likes her and now with all this stuff with Angelo she starts pursuing this guy. This will only lead to more disaster especially if immigration comes to check up on them again. And this time they will be going to jail because she had one shot to tell immigration the truth and not go to jail but she didn't. Also Bay still hates Angelo and everyone knows that Lana is giving the baby up for adoption.
I guess the only good thing that came out of this episode is that Daphne and Travis are finally together!! All I can say is thank God she's over chef Jeff. Maybe we don't ever have to see him again. Oh, and John finally listened to his wife and thinks Ivan is bad news!!! YAY!! I really don't like that guy.
This episode was the best I've ever seen all season and it's only going to get better from here. I can only wonder what all is going to happen because this is only the fourth episode of the season!! I just can't wait to see it all play out.

Glee - Sadie Hawkins
All throughout this episode I felt disturbed, confused, shocked and happy! Where do I begin?
Well, in New York Kurt is finally at NYADA and he has to make some new friends since Rachel always abandons him for Brody. So, he think he might join the show choir there called Adam's Apple. I know, it's weird, but Rachel convinces him not because it's "social suicide." (Mean Girl's reference!) But, Adam (the leader of the show choir) and his amazing accent convinced Kurt to sit in on one of their rehearsals and this is when things got really disturbing. The group decide to do the song "Baby Got Back" and it was all sung. I just sat there in shock the whole time not knowing what to think. All I know is I will never be able to listen to that song the same. EVER! I just wonder why there is no cool acapela group like they have in Pitch Perfect. But anyway, Kurt ends up really liking this Adam guy and he might be his new man because they seem to be spending a lot of time together, and Kurt basically asked him out and he said yes. We don't really see that much of Rachel except for when it seems like Brody stood her up but he was only 45 minutes late and that caused her to basically go insane. His excuse was that his train was late and then he went on to say some really romantic stuff about how he would wait forever just to be with her and that calms her down. Then he says he'll move closer to her but then she suggested that he move right on in! I guess she forgot all about Kurt and the fact that her apartment is not at all big. I just can't wait to see how this all turn out.
Back at McKinley, Lauren is back! She is apart of this group of bitter girls with Tina, Sugar, Becky, and Tina's old assistant. They come up with the idea that the school should throw a Sadie Hawkins dance. Finn turns this into an assignment for the glee club where the girls have to sing to the guys and this is how they ask them to the dance. This is when we discover that Tina has a crush on Blaine. She sings to him and he declines making the moment even more awkward and humiliating for Tina! But she reminds us all that Blaine has traumatic memories attached to Sadie Hawkins dances AND we discover that Blaine has a crush on Sam and this is why he didn't want to go with Tina. But they end up going together anyway. This was just one big confusing and ridiculous case of wanting what you can't have. It seemed like Marley and Kitty were going to have a cat fight over Jake (no pun intended) but Brittany and Puck saved the day. Brittany helped Marley get to Jake first by helping her sing 'Tell Him" to him and he accepted and Puck took Kitty to the dance to get her off Jake's back. At the dance Jake and Marley became a couple and, if you ask me, I think Kitty really likes Puck which is ridiculous and illegal. While all this is going on Sam is on a war path to prove that the Warblers cheated during sectionals by using steroids. At first all his evidence is crazy but then a member of the Warblers comes out of the dark. The chubby kid that basically looks like a baby admits that he quit the group because they were taking steroids. If testifies, the Warblers get disqualified and the New Directions are back in. I hope it all works out.
Overall this was one crazy episode. Except for 'Baby Got Back', the music was great. I loved 'No Scrubs', it felt like I was reliving my childhood. And I love oldies music so 'Tell Him' was great and it got my mom singing! My only question is where's Sue? Hopefully she'll be back next week.

Switched at Birth - Dual of Two Women
Oh boy was there DRAMA in this episode!! First off, Bay is still getting bullied and this time someone wrote something awful on her locker and of course she blames it on Natalie. This girl is so annoying and Regina's mother said it right when she said (paraphrasing here) how could people who've been bullied bully others?! Well, Emmett tells his mother all about the bullying and she basically admits that she doesn't like the pilot program. So she makes up this retreat that's supposed to help end the bullying. There were some pretty sappy moments on this retreat. First, Noah shares history with Bay and it is so sad and it makes Emmett SO jealous. Another sappy moment is when Bay and Natalie finally get alone, a little bit. They have a little moment where they say nice things about each other but it didn't really last long because after the retreat Natalie still seemed a mad. But, thank God Bay chose to be the bigger man and really call a truce. Emmett's jealousy is still there and after the retreat he basically tells Bay that they can't be friends. I'm pretty sure Bay like's Noah and I guess Emmett saw it too and that's why he said that. He still loves Bay and it's got to be all or nothing with him. But did he really think that they would be some power couple at Carlton once Bay got there? He cheated!!! You can't just get over that in a minute and then once you do it still takes some time to get back to where you before. Well, I predict a Nay/Boah relationship in the future. Sorry Bemmett fans.
Regina also made an appearance at this retreat to be the bearer of bad news ... she can't sign anymore, ever!! This makes Daphne so upset and shockingly Melody thought she was lying!!! I thought that was pretty crazy and it really took me off guard. And this is also some crazy news because this is a side of Melody that we have not seen before and it's a little hypocritical. How was she going to get with Chef Jeff who is hearing and not like Bay because she's hearing (and was with Emmett) and then throw away a friendship just because Regina can't sign anymore? I can't wrap my head around it!! Oh, and Regina finally tells her mom and Daphne about Angelo's new child and this makes her mother even more angry at Angelo. I really don't think she will ever like him.
We also find out that Angelo's baby mamma wants to but the baby up for adoption!! SHOCKER!!! And who else to find out first is Toby!! Why is it always Toby that finds these things out?? I guess it's because he's so nice. I mean, he gave her a ride and then took her to the hospital when he crashed his car. I guess he was in the 'right' place at the 'right' time??
No one to this campaign. This Ivan guy is bad news to me. It seems like he only sees Kathryn as this trophy housewife and all she's good for is cooking. So sexist. And he's influencing John and this will not turn out good. I'm shocked that John would actually listen to this guy and not his own wife, but then again I'm not really shocked because that's how John is. He does things that make me mad and not like him. All I can say is that he better get his priorities straight because "a happy wife is a happy life."
Well, this was one drama filled episode and it looks like the drama is not stopping here. I loved the Hunger Games reference and I want to know what's up with all the new random guys? But until next week! I can't wait!

Switched at Birth - The Awakening Conscience
So Bay is going to Carlton now and it's not the easiest place for her because she's being bullied. It seems like no one really likes the fact that Carlton is allowing hearing students to enroll there. The mean girl that is bullying Bay basically told her that she will never belong at a deaf school, just because she's hearing. Ain't that some mess?! How is she going to discriminate against Bay just because she's hearing? I don't know, but I hope someone knocks some sense into her and if I was Bay I would tell that girl that she better get used to being around hearing people because that's what the real world is and Carlton will not last forever! Okay let me stop my rant and get back to the show.
Moving on to Toby and Nikki. First of all, when did they become a couple?? I thought she had a boyfriend, but I guess they broke up. They are cute together so I'm glad that Toby got over that picture of her crazy days. I just want to know why Kathryn was all up in his business. I mean, does she really not have that much to do now?
It looks like Daphne got herself an enemy with that Havi kid (I think that's his name). But anyway, I'm glad that she's actually going ahead with the food truck. It's a little interesting that it's a taco truck, I don't really get that but whatever floats her boat.
So Angelo finally tells Regina his secret. All I can say about that is that elevators are SUPER awkward. Oh, and I thought it was pretty hilarious that Kathryn thought he was a sex addict. And it's official now, John is running for state senate and no one really cares. The kids were just like oh that's nice. I wonder why he didn't tell Regina and Angelo though? They will be in the public eye too, I mean they are part of the family. I must be honest though, I really don't like John's character. He can be really annoying and makes me angry at times. Also, I really like how the parents were parenting their bio-children in this episode. That was nice.
The drama is really starting to heat up now. So much is happening with Angelo and Bay and possibly Daphne. One huge question I have is will Regina stay with Angelo after all this? I guess this will show if she really loves him or not.

Switched at Birth - The Door to Freedom
So Switched at Birth is finally back for an all new season and it seems like everyone is trying to start fresh and new. Bay is actually being good for once. She is actually studying and making her parents happy. This is weird and I wonder how long it will last. Well, according to her teacher and principal, not long at all. Because of all her good grades, they think she is cheating which is absolutely ridiculous!! Why is it that when the C student starts getting A's they get accused of cheating? It's so wrong and I'm going to leave it at that because I'm not trying to go on a rant on the problems with schools today. Back to the show, if this board thinks that Bay is a cheater then she could be expelled and this actually isn't a bad thing because Bay hates her school and Carlton (Daphne and Emmett's school) has some new program where hearing students can now attend there and now Bay might go there. I saw this coming and I can only wonder how long she and Emmett will just be friends with her going there. They really might be getting back together.
Angelo is also turning over a new leaf with his new found wealth. He wasted no time and is spending that money. He bought gifts for everyone and just when you thought he forgot about Daphne (which would have been really awkward) he went and bought her a food truck!! Crazy!! And he's actually trying to be really married to Regina and bought land for their new house. But, the Kenish parents don't seem to happy about his wealth. These rich folks. I mean, are they jealous of Angelo? Do they think that they are the only ones that can be rich? I don't know.
But, now they are trying to do something new with their lives. It's time to elect a new state senator and at first it was Kathryn who was trying to fill the spot, but once she got rejected from that guy (who I think is a bit of a sexist) she thinks that John should run. If he decides to run this will be interesting. I pretty sure everyone knows about their crazy family but are they going to vote for him.
Daphne is still obsessing over Chef Jeff and it's really messing up her life. Travis obviously likes her and she just blows him off. RUDE! And then she meets with Jeff which worried me a little but he basically told her to leave him alone which is good because she needs to get over him. There are better fishes in the sea that aren't people that think of her as jail bait. And I am so happy that Melanie talked some sense in to her because she really needed that.
Regina is trying to live a new life too by accepting Angelo's offer of decorating their new house and moving in with him to be a real family. But, I'm not sure that will last ling because the infamous pregnant lady is back. Angelo is really about to have everyone mad at him. First he lied to Bay and now she's pissed and when Regina and the rest of the family find out I'm sure all hell will break loose. But I'm a little confused because he said he asked for a paternity test but I don't remember him saying anything about whether he was the father or not but he sure made it seem like he was. I'm hoping he's not but I don't think my wish will come true.
This was a great way to start, what looks like, a crazy season. I can't wait to see what happens next week.

Django Unchained
Now I must be honest and say that I was very skeptical about this film, but once I found out more about it I really wanted to see it and finally got the chance to last night.
Every time someone asked me what this film was about I would say it was a love story that takes place during slavery and that it was nothing like ROOTS. After seeing it I think that it is a true Western film that takes place during slavery. There are two main reasons why I loved this movie.
The first reason is because of the way it was made. The way Tarantino put this together was brilliant to me. He really was paying homage to the Western film when he made this. The cinematography the music, the acting all screamed Western to me. While I was watching it I felt like I back in film class watching one of those important films that help you really understand the culture. In a Western film a man fights for his woman and then they both go riding off into the sunset and that's what this movie was, basically. The only difference with this film is the way they went about doing it. I really could go on and on about all the little things but I don't want to ruin it for anyone who hasn't seen it so I'll just stop there.
The second reason is the acting. Everyone in this film did an amazing job and I'll be pretty upset if there isn't a lot of Oscar nominations for them. I think they all deserve it and deserve to win. I have to give them all shout outs because they were all so great. Jamie Foxx, Kerry Washington, Leonardo DiCaprio, Samuel L. Jackson, and Christoph Waltz were all great.
I would really like talk more about this film but I don't want to spoil it for anyone, but I must address all of the criticism surround it. Let me be honest; when I first saw the trailer I thought it was a comedy. Then I was told that it was about slavery and that made me angry because I thought why would someone make a comedy about slavery and I was totally against seeing it just like all those other people. But then I started reading about the film and watching TV specials about it and those changed my opinions. After seeing the film I must say that I don't understand what the problem is. I didn't think that Tarantino was making fun of slavery or trying to show people that this is what really happened during slavery. If people think that then they really need to brush up on their history. Nowhere in the opening credits did it say that this was based on or inspired by a true story. This film is fiction, it didn't happen in real life so don't think that it did.
I actually think that this film showed the horrors of slavery. Usually when I see slavery on the screen its mostly people getting ripped from their homes, being whipped, and being hung. There was whipping in this film but we also saw slaves being forced to fight one another, a slave getting killed by dogs, we saw people walking around with chains on their hands and feet and metal things around their neck and face and we also saw the different types of slaves. Now I'm not saying that this is more educational than a documentary but this film showed a lot. And I also wasn't offended in any way while watching this. So to all the haters: stop hating on Django. Most of them said they haven't seen the movie so why would you listen to them? In my opinion you have no right to criticize the film and make all these assumptions about it when you haven't even seen it. So don't listen to them. Go find someone who has seen it and go off of what they say or just go see it and make your own opinions.
Overall this is a great movie and I think everyone should go see it. It is pretty long which is the one thing I didn't like but you won't want to stop watching so I guess that doesn't really matter.
